CM should be the least prioritized position. Romeu has been great and Clasie and Hojbjerg will come good and we also have JWP and Reed. Morgan is a great player but it would be more of a luxury than a must to have him at this time. We spent 16 millions on Boufal and i would rather have one more player of that kind in the squad.

This. Even if its hard to accept, we are not one of the big boys yet and don't have that appeal to top top players yet. If a big bid comes in for VVD in the summer from say United, City, Barca - he would most likely want to leave and it would be difficult to stop him. We can choose from a pile of cash to continue develop the club or to keep an unmotivated, unsettled player that risk affecting the rest of the squad negatively. How quick some supporters turn their back on players. Not to long ago some people claimed Martina was better than Cedric Now Yoshida is better than Fonte. Other than a few dodgy games at the start of the season, Fonte has been as reliable as usual. Yoshida has grown this season but im far from comfortable replacing Fonte with him.

Lets not suffer from bad memory here, Forster is an excellent keeper and been doing a great job in the past for us. That said, obviously he's not been at his best so far this season.
