And no signings we haven’t seen this since the heady days of skacel, del Pedro and bierhoff!
-
Nope nothing actually confirmed yet! Maybe they are going for a massive unveiling video with them all doing a drunken conga down the tunnel and out onto the pitch at St Mary’s!
-
I don’t think anyone is saying it is built around Ralph’s style (does he actually have one?) what people are saying is it doesn’t suit Dyche’s style and I’ve yet to see anyone put forward a convincing argument that either our current squad could play in the same style as Dyche’s successful period at Burnley or present any evidence of him achieving success with a more progressive style. Anyone coming in needs to be able to get results with the players already here so brining in a manager who’s best season have been playing a physical direct style would be beyond stupid!
-
It’s nothing to do with ‘our style’ which lets be honest has always been a stupid line. The big problem with bringing in a manager like Dyche is we don’t have the players to play his way all his success on a budget at Burnley relied on big strong defenders, big strong strikers and being polite a ‘direct style’ looking at our current squad we lack the necessary players. If we are to replace Ralf we need a technical manager who wants the team to play football. Preferably one who can improve the defence and knows about an amazing striker in Madagascar that nobody else has heard of!
-
And Forster was our best keeper last year by some distance! The new lad will be pretty dire if he isn’t an improvement! My biggest concern is lack of fire power we need to recruit more upfront otherwise relegation looks to be a serious risk.
-
No they don’t it says nothing of the sort in the refugee treaties we signed up to. Otherwise no major country in Europe would receive more than a handful of refugee’s and counties that boarder unstable areas would be crushed under the weight. Yet another lie spread by our crappy media.
-
No1 spot is hardly a glowing reference or are McCarthy and Forster key just because they happen to start most weeks as they are adequate and we don’t have a better option!
-
How was he key to our rise? Ridiculous sentimentality! He chose first team football over the bench do you really think he would have turned down West Ham’s number 1 spot?
-
He was an average championship keeper we could have replaced with dozens of others, look how quickly he disappeared once we got to the top flight. He chose well paid first team football with us over a similarly well played bench role with West Ham whoop de do. I’ll never understand the weird status he holds.
-
Key player lol, he was an average championship keeper at his best people just give him loads of credit for hanging around when we were poo. He was shocking that day and giving the fans the bird for getting on his back when they’d texted that far to watch the team was ridiculous I would happily have seen him transfer listed and never put the shirt on again.
-
Kelvin was awful that day in one of the worst saints displays I’ve ever seen he stood out for all the wrong reasons. The goals were incredibly soft and when the fans gave him stick he gave us the bird. I never rated him as a keeper and still haven’t forgiven him for that attitude moment. Back on topic I would love to see Delap here but record transfer fee’s for youth prospects is a gamble to far for me. If we are talking mega bucks it should be a loan with an option otherwise we could easily be stuck with a crazy expensive asset on high wages we can’t shift for 5 years.
-
Yeah cause penalties don’t count ……
-
A million pounds over 3 years at Newcastle or the no 7 jersey and a pittance at saints ….. hmmmm i’d take the money that’s an insane number for a kid who could wash out and be playing Ryman league by the time he is 20!
-
Was a brilliant bit of business he came in and suddenly we looked solid!
-
Need to get this guy on a new contract asap he has been a stand out player this season!
-
The OP proposed a flawed model for predicting our end of season points total others have proposed a better model that more accurately predict in a clearer way our likely final points tally. Yes you could use either model and neither really achieve much but your argument doesn’t appear to rally with reality much like the OP’s model.

If Derby’s problems go way beyond Boro and Wycombe, they owe HMRC a small fortune the stadium ownership is a mess etc etc etc. I lived in Derby for years, have friends who are fans and despite that play off game have a soft spot for them so I don’t want to see them liquidated but clearly it is going to take a big club or two being wiped out before chairmen start taking the job of balancing the books seriously!
-
Shane Long is a brilliant example to any youngster of how to extract the absolute maximum from a limited talent, he has had a brilliant career for someone who's main strengths are boundless energy and irritating people.
-
Good they have both been shocking fir a while now and for some reason the manager insists on playing the worst of the two! Willy will have to be shocking to be worse!
-
Redmond isn’t appalling he is exactly the player we purchased, decent midfielder who runs very hot and cold and isn’t clinical in front of goal. If he was consistent and a better finisher he wouldn’t be in our squad anymore! He is like many of our players a decent pro our problem at the minute is we lack the one or two outstanding players we have had every year since promotion loosing ings has finally left the cupboard bare we need to find W couple of affordable gems to add to a decent squad that will put us back in mid table.

But given that they were in the process of negotiating the hardest brexit they could surely it was obvious that shortages of workers in industries that relied on them would occur? Maybe this was even pointed out to them repeatedly by the evil ‘project fear’? Yet still they chose to do nothing about it and just sleep walked into an economic nightmare, the government should own it’s mistakes….sadly nobody will hold them to account.

The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

‘High skills economy’ got to love a Tory three word slogan! I guess they had to move in from ‘get brexit done’ and all the levelling up fluff seems to have died a death! -
Funnily enough I don’t remember the huge bus mounted slogans that said vote leave for empty shelves and power cuts and rampant inflation!!! Increased wages only make a difference if prices don’t rocket to compensate so in reality paying truck drivers 50k+ a year while it sounds great just makes everything more expensive and the UK less competitive. The thing that is really stupid about all this is that it was all predicted by the evil ‘project fear’ and if our almighty leaders had half a brain between them could easily have been avoided by tapering down freedom of movement for key sectors rather than stopping it dead. Sadly to appeal to the base brexit voter that had to go with the no more immigration nonsense that anyone with a brain could see is unsustainable for our population and now we have Tory U turn number 7652 as visas for truck drivers arrive that only last week Boris said wasn’t going to happen. What a complete and utter poop sandwich brexit has turned out to be!

What’s the betting he does enough to earn a new contract in January then instantly turns crap? What is commonly known as the Saganowski streak!

Nobody is relying on kneeling to get rid of anything but the England team kneeling is doing two things: 1) showing that the team are together and as a group reject the racists treatment of team mates and others, which is a very important message for them to send given the incredible profile they have. 2) it prompts continued discussion of the issue which keeps the debate alive and reminds everyone that while we have made a lot of progress in this area we still have a way to go. For such a tiny gesture it has shown it’s self to be incredibly powerful.
