He's a fantastic player and we are lucky to have him! If you corrected all his 'faults' then he would be Salah or De Bruyne good and would have left long ago. His the perfect example of one of the two sorts of player we need to buy ie those that we get cheap improve and sell for a profit and those that we get that are just below that level but hang around and form the back bone of our squad. The club should do everything possible to ensure Dusan stays put.
 -
He might want to jeopardise it for 100K a week this season could well have been a flash in the pan if I was him I'd look to cash in as soon as possible it is a short career and you never know particularly as a keeper when you will fall from favour!
 -
I'd be quite happy if the owner never said anything publicly and left the running of the football club to knowledgeable professionals, it's the second bit he's got wrong at the minute!
 -
He is in keeping with our record transfer signings ie not very good!
 -
Just like the good old days watchingvsaints has been to easy since the takeover!
 -
No idea but if there isn't someone better out there then I'd be amazed!
 -
Professional non-league football is not sustainable lower league football probably isn't either!
 -
Up or down he should go I'm just not a fan and so often the manager who does the rescue job has a terrible follow up season oh and his transfercrecord is awful!
 -
If Hughes starts next season as manager we will be the 'Sunderland' not only is he a crap manager but it would show a distinct lack of ambition and imagination in the board room!
 -
Will require major investment and leadership something this club don't do at the minute! The championship is a pig of a league just ask a Sheffield Wednesday or Derby fan!
 -

Would you encourage a grand-child still to be a Saints fan
a1ex2001 replied to OldNick's topic in The Saints
I will let my son choose his own team I hope he picks a local side (Sheffield Wednesday would be better than Utd) or saints and not one of the big 4 but it's his call! -

Our best 3 signings since returning to the premier league
a1ex2001 replied to ChiefScummer's topic in The Saints
Depends if you're reading it as the three best players or the three best signings, if the later then Davis is a contender he has played a significant part in our success and arrived at the club at a time when we really needed some experience, similarly Brouc has to be in contention for best sign as without him we would have been relegated that first season back. -
He looks worse than will grigg and I think we could have got the man on Fire for a few million less!

What "first Saints manager to..." does Hughes have?
a1ex2001 replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
Baros and morrientes up front that Liverpool lineup is awful! -
Only positive? The contract is only to the end of the season so he won't be around in the championship what a dull, predictable appointment imagine the fun we would be having if one of our relegation rivals had done this!
 -
He came here as a player when he was washed up and finished and now is going to return as manager under the same circumstances! I'd rather saggy chops on an 8 game contract Hughes will relegate us and mess up any chance at bouncing straight back he is a busted flush.

Which "cheap option" would you employ for The Championship?
a1ex2001 replied to Bad Wolf's topic in The Saints
OP is clearly lining up Glenda for a return Darlek will be happy! -
For 19 million I could have got us 5 of six big lumps that don't score is Heskey still playing?0 Most important transfer window since we were promoted and we sold our best defender and made a striker who doesn't score our record signing worse than the Harry relegation season at least he bought a loaf of players in for comedy value!
 -
Not seen much of the others but Leon Clarke is an awful footballer think a bigger built Brett ormerod only less talented!
 -
Wasn't he supposed to score a goal every 90 minutes of playing time or something? All this talk of bringing the best out of other players reminds me of Emile Heskey the most notorious of none goal scoring strikers!
 -
All of whom are probably better than this fella he didn't even score goals in the sub championship standard argentine league!
 -
I'd be well happy if he prooves me wrong he won't but I wish he would, he is a decent sized lump with an average record.
 -
He's exactly what he looked like before we got him an alright big lump who won't score many I really can't believe anyone is surprised! He's a cross bettween Beattie and ormerod sadly he got Brett's goal threat!
 -
I would say more symptomatic of a lost generation of english language teaching but hey i'm on a football forum so your probably right!
