Totally agree while Puel has been short changed by the board his total lack of adaptability is a massive concern, how he doesn't realise that Stephens and yosgida need some extra protection I have no idea. We have good players he just chooses to play the same formation and the same style regardless of the fact it isn't working!

Much more important that the manager goes booting reed won't improve performances on the pitch which is the only thing that counts right now!

Had a nice smile after Fonte's debut lets hope he doesn't step it back up for the weekend. Great moment for Crouch he always seems to enjoy his football and I don't think he's ever caused a problem at a club even when Stoke weren't playing him he's just got on with it. I was gutted when he left I think if he'd stayed we would have bounced straight back time and time again clubs have shown all you really need to get out of that league is a top draw goal scorer.

Seems to be a decent squad player and nothing more which is a shame would be interesting to know how his stats in the gym add up compared to others as he does seem to be lacking in the pace stamina and strength departments all of which are needed to make up for his smaller stature!

Disappointing need for a cb is pretty apparent I await a statement saying we tried real hard but failed oh well plenty of game time for the youngster so I guess we will know by the end of the season if he is good enough or not every cloud and all that!

God knows what was wrong with just using the match thread? Said it all there would love to see Puel sacked easily the worst managerial appointment since portaloo but we are stuck with him for the season so I don't expect any up turn in form anytime soon!

He does though not on a match by match basis but he continues rotating the same players in and out of the same positions continually hammering square pegs into round holes in the vain hope that one day they will fit and being puzzled when they don't work right. Note I said line upS not line up the man wouldn't know a settled team if it bit him on the arse.

But Puel continues the same setup and line ups over and over and over his tactics and formation clearly haven't worked for an awful lot of games this season maybe he should try something different you know like shake things up and play 4-2-3-1 like the player were purchased for? Not having his own players isn't an excuse for being an inflexible bore.

So now I understand why we threw the fa cup game we looked so fresh and full v energy tonight I thought we were in danger of killing them oh no that's not what happened we looked lacklustre disjointed and for 45 minutes totally devoid of ideas. Puel will last the season we won't get relegated but he won't last the following season his tactics and setup are just too dull he either keeps sending us out to play turgid defensive football or he is incapable of getting his message across.

I would have said Taylor was a moment of desperation mistake but he sits on the bench for league games so is only one pulled muscle away from being called into action! I certainly won't complain about a loan goalkeeper seems like a sensible option if McCarthy is out for the season.

If we bring in those three I'd say it's a good window I'll assume the loan deal has an option to buy if things work out!

We don't know the details so anything is just speculation and also just because it is on hold doesn't mean it won't still happen. Transfers are rarely straightforward unless your willing to pay inflated prices and wages this isn't fifa/football manager!

Should have started a stronger team to get a foothold in the game then introduced others it was ridiculously unfair on sims and isgrove and similarly the back four and in particular Lewis it's so harsh putting a young keeper behind such a weak defence.

Totally agree, if this squad lands up in a relegation battle Puel will have failed even more spectacularly than tonight!

Seems harsh to single him out, puel picked him out of the blue in a team that lacked any sort of consistency or experience the buck stops with one man for selling Lloyd and all the others short tonight. Lloyd is clearly destined to move on in the next couple of days which makes the decision to start him even more baffling. FFS.
