Sums it up for me, our league form has been garbage hidden by a weird season in which 46 points makes us the best of the rest and our exit from the Europa league when we got to a point where getting out of the group looked a fore gone conclusion was massively disappointing. The league cup run really was the only highlight and credit to Puel for sticking out decent sides and out foxing Liverpool brilliantly but it's not enough to make up for the brand of football we currently play.

It seems almost inevitable that they will sell, will be interesting to see the divide in the fan base particularly if the mickey mouse club doesn't work out and the club needs to be rescued again. I think his future will be decided in the next month or so if he plays and plays well we will almost certainly offer him a longer contract that hopefully he will accept.

If he's not already been booked it would certainly have been a card I don't think many referees who realised a player was on a booking would produce the card in these circumstances as it makes them look totally stupid!

There wood have to be a break clause for players that didn't make it so they weren't stuck for 2-3 years because they played 5 minutes in a league cup game and that would just be abused you can't trap a player they stay when they want to and go when they want to. Shaw should just be used of an example to them during contract discussions that a big money move doesn't guarantee playing success!

Now I always remember Jamie putting in a decent shift for us and being disappointed when he hung his boots up, he'd have been great for us in the championship. Everyone has a different perspective let's hope his impact is more Chris perry than Callum davenport!

He's a funny one all of half a dozen appearances yet everyone has fond memories of him.

I seem to remeber him saying he was staying and then Liverpool came in and obviously he had to go, it was certainly a move he would have been mad to turn down. Seriously good player for us and I'm sure would have been a legend had we stayed up. Those were seriously dark days season 1 was our best chance to bounce back and our summer business was ridiculous 90k and some bang average freebies and loans.
