  1. made his derby debut at 15!
  2. Can't make my mind up on this one, the club might view it as the last chance to get a return on the investment so cash him in particularly if he has a decent run at the euro's and one of Italy's big clubs fancies taking him home. Personally I'd like to see him stay he is different to our other strikers so gives us an option of the bench of if we want to play differently and hopefully next year with the Europa there will be planet of games to keep him busy.
  3. Top draw player and one I was pleased we signed when we lost shaw, although I didn't think he was as good as he is! Should clearly be Ebglands order choice this summer but probably won't I suspect that will go to rose surely Baines won't even go he's had a nothing season?
  4. We are never going to sign him in the real world but if by some miracle he was interested we should get him on the bus ASAP!
  5. Totally with that idea it is crazy that the biggest club from the 3rd/4th/5th (depends who you ask) biggest city in the country isn't in the top flight plus I need a local game back was great in the lower leagues!
  6. That would be quite funny a big money signing to fire next seasons league2 play off push!
  7. He clearly had plenty of talent so not sure where you get that from, sad that he is such a simpleton not sure how he will revive his career now!
  8. Hope Ron signs but if not I'd sack him this summer and replace with pellegrini, after the fiasco of strachans last season I don't want a repeat!
  9. And the only criticism they've received all season is for the style of football they play! Good football isn't necessary to get results watch any big Sam side or athletico!
  10. That never happened but that aside he is still a total knob!
  11. I think it's more a case of he's got back to the level he was when he broke through, I've no idea what went on in the wake of his old man passing away but his game certainly fell to pieces and only now is he looking the player everyone thought he was back then. Will be interesting to see if he can put it behind him and kick on again he is very much in the last chance saloon I would think.
  12. Ox followed by Depay. Ox is a known quantity and if we could manage his fitness better than Arsenal (who have a terrible reputation) then we would be pretty much guaranteed a decent signing. Depay would be my second choice obvious potential but hasn't fired at Man Utd so fits our mould of signings and if he did come good could be our next cash cow! Townsend is just too hit and miss for me occasional moments of brilliance interspersed with not much!
  13. Good age as well looks like the sort of player we might gamble 10-12 million on
  14. You'll get to appreciate a decent view of a game of football for a change!
  15. Why bother taking a new picture when you have a perfectly good one to hand, saves time and money. The only interest I have in this deal is how much is it worth to the club? I'm hoping for significantly more than previous deals!
  16. I think this summer with the crazy money swilling round someone might well do just that, he clearly has the quality when motivated and Jose probably thinks he can give him the required kick up the bum!
  17. Very rare on here these days but a sensible balanced post! Can't help but agree with you if Gaston had worked out as many believed/hoped he would then people would be referring to his fee as a stonking bargain sadly this time we gambled and lost lets hope next time we get lucky as that role could be key to us pushing on a that little bit which is needed for the next step!
  18. Thought he would see regular action this season bit puzzled by the situation if he isn't in the squad at the start of next season he should look for a short term loan at championship level. Has always looked decent to me!
  19. Oddly this situation doesn't seem to be that odd especially with short term loans!
  20. Last sentence sums up the race to the bottom that we are in while most of the worlds money flows into the pocket of a tiny number of people, living in Sheffield uber has ruined the local taxi market and means at peak times you will get absolutely rinsed with surge charging through the roof!
  21. like pochettino senior
  22. Pelle and movement I thought everyone here believed he was made of concrete! Good to see the big man back in the goals our good runs are so often fired by him hitting a hot streak!
  23. I've never understood Hillsborough being used as a reason for not allowing standing in modern stadiums, it wasn't standing that killed people it was caging them in like animals and not letting them out when the problem occurred. There is no way modern standing areas would be fenced in like the 80's simply because hooliganism isn't the problem it once was and again standing up didn't make people hooligans being idiots made people hooligans and fortunately that element seems to have been pushed out of the modern fan base (mostly) and a combination of cctv and banning orders makes a return to the dark days of the weekly pitch invasion seem unlikely. Sadly we can't even have the debate in this country at the minute maybe when the new Hillsborough inquest is concluded we will finally be able to put what was unquestionably a tragic event behind us and move forward with a reasonable discussion.
  24. I've never seen people throwing furniture at each other in a UK city centre on a Friday/Saturday night!
  25. Love it. For me we have just changed our stlye and it doesn't suit him added to which he is clearly a confidence player and that is in short supply at the minute! Reminds me a bit of Beattie the way he cores in fits and starts.
