I think that basically the rest of the world have stood behind us ,means that Putin has not outsmarted us. He is in damage limitation mode. It is becoming a bit concerning that Putin wants to show his strength, what happens if he conjures something up in the Balkan states. Latvia has a large Russian populace and they are very pro Putin and it wont be long until they start to agitate to get reunited. Reminds me a bit of the way it all started with Adolfs land grab by default in the late 30's

How do you actually 100% prove it was from Russia? It doesn't come in a tin with made in Russia on it. I assume it must have the trademarks of a Russian made substance. The scientists and intel services must know for sure.

Lol food poisoning. Next time I have a dodgy curry I will have the restaurant and home demolished

So will I Ron. Unless you a top4-6 side I don't think there is much fun in the PL A lot is vanity. There again it is no fun being in the bottom6 of the Championship, imagine being Ipswich, Leeds etc where you are in the 2nd tier for years, and the frustrations that will bring

I blame some entitled fans, not all of them. Mainly I blame the club for not purchasing a goalscorer after selling all the goals in the pre season as Puel arrived.
-
I tell you what happened. Gabbiadini, got injured with Austin and we were left with forwards who could not score in a drug den. The confidence ebbed away and the fans got restless. Puel maywell have failed this season but not as badly as the situation we find ourselves in. Enjoy Championship football and we all can recall those boring 0-0 draws in the PL,it may be many years before we get the chance again.
-
you can dress it up as you like to try and argue your weak position. The fact is we played superb football, and those same players are at the club. Apart from VVD, that was basically the team who got us to 8th. To the outside world, we have done football Hari Kari, both fans and club have little sympathy from them.

Russian money, will the tap be turned off?
-
If you recall the EFl cup final last season, where we made ourselves proud as the football world watch us play some superb football. None of that team has been sold. We still could field that whole team, but since Puel left we have not played anywhere near that standard. We were in transition, and with a tad more patience we would have been mid table minimum, and perhaps better as he may have improved the squad.

don't have a go at Cedric or Greenidge will be on your case lol. I expect he smashed his tv up when Motd 2 pointed out his poor decisions
-
yes, to bring Austin on
-
yep, I like the thought of picking up the big clubs cast off, as they really do let go gems. Even e have in the past. You just have to find the right people to make the choice
-
I hope he was thrown out. Although I thought Ryan didn't seem to have his normal desire
-
It depends who is assessing who to take on. Its like on here there are some who you respect in their judgement and others who haven't a clue. So if we are getting players in by, poor judges of players abilities, that is where the problem lies. That is why some managers are so good as they can see a player. Look at Clough, without Peter Taylor finding the players he was lost

Gamblers only brag about their big wins. A bit like golfers who can spend hours talking a bout a good shot and forget the 120 shots that went with it

In theory a keeper can come out for every cross, I think you are the only poster on here claiming that McCarthy was in the wrong on this. The ball was crossed from about 15 yards out, not from the byline. it seems you will do anything to keep any blame from Cedric. He is an average full back for us, who today made a couple of good crosses, but he also made some awful ones. He has been poor with his crossing all season BTW. Please inform of his other decent crosses , as you mention he did many decent ones. I recall the really horrendous one, but there must have been another as you said one landed on the penalty spot after missing our forward.
-
you are wrong in both counts. The frigging cross went into touch for a throw, the penalty spot would have needed to be 30ft in the air, and watch the cross again, it was not an easy catch for the keeper .OK Greenidge:lol:
-
it was a cross that would not be easy to take, you make out as though it came across the box in front of him. Cedrics job isn't just the odd decent cross, he had put at least one about 10 ft over the attackers.
-
You still are. If only your clubs life support machine had not been turned off in court like it should have done.
-
Cedric is a poor fullback, ok he did set up the goal but look at his crossing and defending at the back post, hes bang average.
-
?? whats an EPPP and who is he
-
Personally I thought he didn't have that option. The cross should have been stopped Tadic is not a defender and let Iwobi cross it in. McCarthy is not to blame for our defeat, he kept us in the game with a couple of good saves, especially the Xhaka shot
-
that's your opinion. Do you recall in the first half where it was obviously going for their corner and he made no effort to kick it for a corner.I rarely criticise him as he is one of the quality players in the team but today he didn't seem to ME that he cared.
-
Perhaps Bertrand could fill in there. Although I didn't think he cared much today
