I recall many times when the Dell or SMS was not a sell out. Football was different in the 80's and 90's with hooliganism and disasters effecting all clubs in the leagues. I point to the fact though that i have been toold for 25 +years that pompey were a sleeping giant and would fill FP easily. The time you came up with bally you didnt do it then (of course the excuse was that you were rubbish and relegated) since then you have had a place in the PL and you have had a team of star international players , won the Fa cup and still after a blip cannot fill your ground. it is only a case of getting 16+k fans with Pompey shirts on their back not the away section as well!!!! funny that spurs are in town and its a sell out, i can see all those fans who cant get tickets writiing into Pompey news saying 'I've been going for 30 years and they didnt let me have a ticket' Both clubs have their plastic fans, but the case is as I have tried to get into your skull, you are Wigan of the South, a club who has boufght its success from the depths of the lower leagues and it will take a long time before you are anything other than that. Now if you get your stadium and with that success you will also then get regular crowds in excess of 25k, but you need the stadium and success to do so.If you go down (something i have consistantly said you wont) it will be a long time before you see 16k crowds again.

I expect they are worried if it became public that the bill had been paid all the other creditors would line up as well. You were correct that you said all along it was a consortium, I was wrong there. If the consortium are welathy the 10m tax bill will be nothing, if they have only paid a slice off then things wont look so clever of course. Are they still Middle eastern or do you think they are from elsewhere?

Millionaires club at the Rank is where I met my wife. Anyone else there the night Roger D'courcy died a death on stage? Biglands in St marys street, some good stuff there over the years to be had. My parents had shops in St marys street and Northam road and so this was a regular haunt. Russell shoe shops in st marys street, they had 2 shops there. St marys street was such a thriving place in the late 60's and early 70's. The Atherley saturday morning to watch a couple of films (Marx bros)and it was bedlum with all the kids running around. The milk machines at the bus station, it was the only place they sold the strawberry flavoured stuff. Henrys records Shirt king Holt and Haskell sports shop and of course Toomers where they sold all the subutteo teams and stuff.

lol that would be funny if it happened, but the gorillas will be out in force. they will bang their drums ring the bells and HR's lilly livered fancy dans will roll over. Im going to put money on a Pompey victory

Indirectly it will effect my insurance premiums, due to serial claimants the companies load all our policies to cover for them
-
For once I agree 100% BTF. Either way it costs us as taxpayers or when we take out insurance.

She had lost a lot of her earning potential after she grew those lips. Her work had dried up. I got the impression she claimed she would never be ale to work agian.Hence the large payout.

thanks BP (great keeper by the way) i thught I was right about the NHS.

it was a dead cert that HR's return would sell out. A large away support and the plastics wanting to watch the stars playing for Spurs.Whatrs the betting bottler Crouch has an injury?
-
it's karma, you should have been home and copying the 2nd dvd of the forum match that you had said you would weeks ago, and send it to me.

I think you are under a false illusion. The Itchen does not generate an atmpsphere around the grond as the majority of the ground cannot hear you. Yes the away fans can, but as soon as they sing you are drowned out. In fact the singing there has waned so much that it is rare that the Weare the itchen can be heard. I have sampled the atmosphere in the Itchen and it does rock at times but its effect upon singing the team to victory is secondary to baiting the away fans. If moving the fans from that area to an area that will increase their vocal suport for the team and at the same time reduce the effect of the away fans as they are not right behind the goal and it can only be good for the team

it has quelled their claims of being a sleeping giant. For 25 years or more i heard that from them, how they'd fill their 36k stadium easily.Well when they went up with Bally they didnt and now in the razzmatazz days of the 'best league in the world' they don't. The PL is becoming a dud.

I myself have been sceptical of AL but the reson for that was he was poor. last season he relied on his overrating on here. Recently he has been much more effective, perhaps he could add heading to his repertoire. Well done to both of them
-
i dont doubt we had some low gates in the old Div 1 but that was before the razzmatazz of the EPL and also after the heysel and Hillsborough disasters when football was a pariah.

she made her claim on the basis that it had finished her career. If she is now doing a new series that patently is not the case. Insurance companies lift their premiums to cover payouts. We end up footing the bill by increased premiums. Not that i need plastic surgery of course as im drop dead gorgeous but others....

he thinks he's better than he is.needs to be brought down a few pegs.
-
Oh i thought it was the NHS. Anyway it is wrong , we all have to pay extra insurance premiums due to high claims.
-
i notice she is doing a new show. Did she not take in the region of £5m damages from the NHS as the infection she received had finished her career? If true she should pay the money back, if not all a large chunk of it.

Yardy yardy yah, that is not the quote. You mentioned in one that you had 13.5k s/ts sold last season and fully expected them to beat that and get to 16k. As I say I expect you have deleted the one I mention. 3 home games and not only have you not been able to fill the ground but it has been a pathetic turnout. Dont hide behind 'if you had sold all your players' etc we have and even had boycotts and still got more fans than you when we were heading for L1. The sleeping giant stuff has been put to bed once and for all.You have a good hardcore of fans in the 8-10k region, if you sign a lot of star players and go out to buy success above your station much like your sister club Wigan then you will get bigger gates.Spurs will fill your ground for you, HR's return will get them off their ar### but if you stay propping up the league the gates will reduce further.

Steven Gately doesnt look well

Ive a Blackberry curve. Its ok, im sure if you are very savvy it can be great.I find the screen is not big enough for the web. So perhaps the iphone would be better for me.
-
Typical Ho talk, make a statement and then add the screen in case it is his usual bull by putting up proviso's
-
I have just read your sidestep.I cant be bothered to search through all your nonsense for your quote (I would never be surprised that you'd deleted it) You said in one of your posts that your friend at the club had said it was 12k , it would exceed the 13.5k of last seasn and probably make 16k. It was at the time when i told you that the figure was below 9k. Of course you may get higher attendances if you got a load of great players in, in fact if you got Ronaldo you'd fill the ground every week. The point is the sleeping giant cannot fill the stadium even though you are a PL side. You have a large percentage of fickle fans who are JCL's, no doubt you being one also. Now tell us how many s/ts you have sold.No putting up 'If' etc how many does 'your contact at the club 'tell you they sold.
