  1. To be fair he was correct about last season. He woould be loyal to RL who has given him the job. The wording was not meant to be offensive to the fans(E£nglish is not his first language and his interpretation is not what ours may be) because if you listened to his interview after the game he praised the fans. Ump Im surprised you are trying to undermine him so quickly, i like yourself are not overewhelmed by him but he has already changed some things and the fight fire and desire are there. Give him 3 more games to give him a little slack.I understand you associate him with Lowe but dont be fooled by LC's cosying up to some on here.
  2. Mixed feelings about it.The fans in general were normal football fans not the I want to get on the telly lot that these things normally bring out .LC using as a party political broadcast, and I saw Perry mcmillan at the front.I was told he doesnt go to games (apologies if my info is wrong) Wotte was correct in respect that RL was not at the club last year and we were alos in a terrible position. It was not aimed at the fans who were fantastic at the game and the only swing Lowe song was drowned out.And the normal fans starting them up ddint try so well done those. After the game fine in my book.
  3. or its cat and mouse games to get Swansea to give a better offer.

Um you know my position on Jan and RL's ,mistake not ridding us of him earlier.NP may have done a better job,we will never know for sure. You and i have no access to detailed accounts of costs and where the money is being lost and so we are judgeing without knowing many of the full facts that have brought us to this position. NP would have been a better option from where we are standing and I do appreciate all the other factors, but without the facts we can only guess.the same goes for the banks, we as a nation dont know what is stored up until they come clean and tell us their toxic debt. Perhaps it is best we know neither.
  5. Some of that is correct IMO, but you cannot just blame RL.There were a number of catastropic reasons.
  6. You may say sensible people are happy clappies or Lowe luvvies but the majority of fans who go to games are out for entertainment. They dont want to listen to polititics it is a pastime. They rightly think that there is a time and place. The march and any protest should be IMO after the game not during. They have a right to protest but not a right to ruin other peoples entertainment that they have paid hard earned money to go and watch. I hope the march is successful and free from being hijacked by the more idiotic section of fans.
  7. Is Smith our left back then? Rudi was only getting a game in that position. McLaggon will be a better asset in the long run.
  8. Yes there was an in between position, something that you are re-nouned for Lol.
  9. I thought you had gone, we were going to talk about you as you were away.
  10. It is from that safe position you can shout and blather on. I am happy that the people on here can make their own minds up on what your position was when the club appointed NP from nowhere. Was it A) Alpine's laid back and wait and see what happens without comment B) Alpines outraged and anti club mantra. I vote that it was B ps the abuse you give me is so upsetting and so the mods should act. lol
  11. if a couple of thousand turn up it will be of some use, if it is only a few hundred at best then it will be brushed off as a minority. I beleive that the removal of Jan will mean quite a few who would have gone and were only waverers will now not turn up and wait and see what transpires. At the end of the day it is hard for fans who love the club, then be part of something we all know in some way damages it.
  12. Yeah but you know I dont mean it
  13. No probs. No im not one for marches although I do understand why its being done.I have business committments and leave at the very last minute to get to the game.
  14. Ooooooops, I think id better edit it
  15. and we are in the position to get top players. You cut your cloth accordingly. To be fair the loans in the main in the last few seasons have done well for us.
  16. I dont think it was a case of him losing the dressing room, not as far as my information anyway.
  17. If we go down I will blame RL . not for trying the Dutch/youth experiment but not changing the manager sooner
  18. but we all know what your non-plussed is and it isn't the dictionary definition. I think we should do a poll on how many think your non plussed would be. would it be, outraged constant derision to give the new man time or laid back and see what happens
  19. That is fair.
  20. Duncan that is a really good post from my perspective because it is balanced and fair.Too often in the past they have been so biased that they have been easy to dispell.I hope your reasoning and a real bit of balance is used tomorrow and not the hotheads who could ruin a decent well meaning protest.
  21. The window closes on the 2nd of Feb I think, but of course we still can get loans in for a long time after that.So a new man would be able to get players in
  22. just a few minutes ago i conversed with a pal who is very close to things and I asked what was the mood like in the squad and he came back that it was a much better mood around and there were tactics being worked on.Or words to that effect
  23. I dont know if you are old enough to remember when the Milton was our end, on its day it could generate a tremendous atmosphere and it had no roof. The thought of ALL the fans who sing and drive the team on in one area is mouthwatering and you would soon forget the Northam.I agree it generates the most noise in the ground but it is dissapated by the away fans and also where we have sections in different areas around the ground eg the Itchen.
  24. It all depends on if you think we will forever be where we are now.I have the hope that these dark days will go and things will get better.Having a 22k stadium would have us with near on the same outlay but without the opportunity to grow and increase revenue . please do not give me the money is not impoortant as it is, not only for day to day running but the purchase of better players to help fill the ground. In the last 2 years a 22k stadium would not have been big enough on many occasions.
  25. Dont be so hard on yourself Alpine
