When people were questioning why Ronald kept choosing Pelle because he's crap I couldn't help thinking that the reason might have been that in training he was scoring sensational goals for fun and based on this he was picked. Ronald knew he just needs the push and confidence that a goal would give. and it has. Perhaps not as soon as we would all have liked. The same with Mane too.

He probably thinks that, after all he has done for us, we should be more appreciative and laud him when he comes back. Unfortuantly, unlike SRL and Morgan, his departure was marred by his sudden change of allegience, his total disregard for the club that made him, and his failure to comprehend how fickle we can be. His handling of it was a PR nightmare. Plenty of Ex - Players when they come back to a former team just remain stumm. If they score, don't celebrate,just get on with your job. A quick thanks to Saints, and here to the next chapter sort of thing would have gone down better. Still, live and learn.

That is my thinking. The circumstances that we won anyway and it didn't effect the outcome made the decision easier then if we had suddenly lost after Mane was sent off and a free kick awarded from which they scored. I showed my son the match of the day footage and decision, and then showed him the decision from the Six nations match when Dan Cole had his face scratched and they used the Fourth official and TV coverage and he became another convert to the 'TV Ref' debate.

I had a weird dream last night that he was on the field for WBA. Davies put in an aerial pass and shouted 'That's Yours Rickie ' and he went ahead and scores a bicycle kick own goal,the best since Pele in Escape To Victory . It might have been down to the cheese I ate last night and probably what JWP said about Rickie on his interview. I miss him here even if he had stayed as a figurehead and came off of the bench occasionally until he hung up his boots. His future should by Dead Ball coach for us.
