FA Cup Final 2003 "Seaman had not been troubled, but he demonstrated his quality eight minutes from time to deny Southampton an equaliser. Brett Ormerod's powerful drive was destined for the top corner until Seaman flung out a hand to divert his shot to safety." Now if that one had gone in And "And Ashley Cole came to Arsenal's rescue five minutes into injury-time when he smuggled James Beattie's header off the line." in the same match

4 year contract discussions are underway I am informed. Just about finding a wage level acceptable to Adam and the club. Mr Lowe has a high regard for Adam and even sorted out an urgent hernia operation with one of the top specialists before the season started so he would be fit to start.

Good to have something to cheer. Only one game against a poor side who have not won since September last year BUT We usually are the team that let's such records end. We are usually a team that when we score let the opposition come back against us. We are usually a team that panic and lose concentration in the last few minutes and let it slip TODAY WE WERE NOT THAT TEAM I am going to enjoy my food and wine this evening.

What a load of rubbish. You do not know him, you do not understand him, you do not understand his families values or you would not have made such a rediculous statement.

No idea, I have lost touch. He told me he did read the forum when I spoke to him on the phone a month or so back.

Saintlee knew of this one since mid May but chose not to post anything at the time as a few other of us also. We were told end of May, then end of June then before the season starts then last Tuesday then this Tuesday. Look, a lot of what is now coming out is factual including Shearer. Of that I am entirely satisfied. What seems to be missing is the investors to support the good intentions. I for one have a view that it will not happen. Someone is trying to big this one up. They tried Saintlee in May but he chose not to report it, Nick Illingsworth on the ugly inside in June or July and he did but the press did not pick it up, now the papers are getting a sniff BUT no one has seen the actual investment money. Lowe and Wilde are aware but again no money has been proved. Crouch was aware whilst he was still in power but it was all promise and no money evidence. Someone is living in fantasy land when it comes to the real investment imho. I am totally fed up with it all and will shut up now on the subject!

Paul Terry to leave at the end of the season
Weston Saint replied to Weston Saint's topic in General Sports
Paul Terry arrived this afternoon and sat with some of the players in the food lounge. -
Hampshire vs Somerset (CC - starts 19-08-08)

Brown has a back injury -
Look, it is as simple as this. If Saints come to him and say they have had an acceptable bid and need to sell him he will go but will be very sad.

I wonder who'll be first to create a takeover thread?
Weston Saint replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Yep, agree with you there SB -
Skacel was no better than Surman as left back!

I speak to him off site. He remains sceptical like me. -
Saint David?

No we bloody did not, despite Mr Wilde telephoning Mr Cowen after the meeting to say we did.
-
I am not sure what is expected from posters. We are a Championship team who will only command the sort of full backs like Vignal and Ostlund who would rather kick the ball high and in most cases to the opposition. They got caught out of position as much if not more than Surman and James.

Coming back on.

Why should he defend himself from some of the ****e posted on here. Mr Wilde would be best advised to keep his own counsel or reply throught the proper channels at a fans forum or the Official site.

Let me give you my view. First, it was a marriage of convenience in an attempt to stave off probable Administration. Lowe is the "paid" employee. Wilde is non executive. Lowe was on holiday until Thursday so I assume the Stoke interest was the agent telling the club Davies wanted to go and then Stoke making contact with the club to follow up. Wilde arrives on Saturday and is confronted before Lowe has spoken to him (I know there is such a thing as a mobile phone or email) and says he knows nothing and then allegedly backtracks and says he has just heard Lowe tell a friend. Wilde has a non executive position in the club as Football Chairman but Lowe makes the executive decisions taking advice from all on the board.

No I am following it as well 197/8 of 40. Excellent recovery by Hampshire after it looked like 260 was possible early on

3-0 to Chelsea and it is only half time

Paul Terry to leave at the end of the season
Weston Saint replied to Weston Saint's topic in General Sports
Seems Paul Terry has already gone! -
If we were to go into Administration the Administrator will sell off (give away) all our high earners to manage the debt going forward. Customs and Excise will not agree CVA so we will not only be docked 10 points meaning inevitable relegation but starting the next season with a penalty of approximately 17 points with a weak squad meaning further relegation an almost certainty. All the club are trying to do is manage the wage bill to avoid the other penalties. How many hard working small businesses will fail because Saints cannot pay off what is owed to them? Surman is not a high earner so I doubt he will be offered for sale. The strategy is to get rid of the high earners hence Davies going. Same for all the others. So to sum up, like them or loath them, Lowe and Wilde have no alternative.

Pretty sure nothing is going to happen. How do I know? Well Lowe is sending out the signal. "We have to sell Davies because we cannot afford his wages!" he told a supporter when attending SMS yesterday. Fulthorpe group still seem to think it will happen but IF they have the money why has it not been done already? Seems to me that have not managed to convince enough investers to jump on board. Cannot see that situation changing. I assume Morph's group are out of the loop. -
Not maybe, I spoke to them at half time. And no his agent is not looking for a move for him. Drew would rather play in midfield but is happy as left back as long as he is "in the game" and able to get forward.
