  1. And the EDL will contribute exactly nothing to combating it.
  2. This game was shown live on Eurosport. JT played pretty well, only caught the last 35 mins but his use of the ball was good and he put in several very dangerous crosses. He flagged a bit late on as he was basically a wing back on pretty much the only T&T player on the right. Eurosport commentators mentioned a few times that he was the best T&T player and his own goal was very unlucky - the king that makes you look stupid but not really anything you can do about it. On a different note, the pundit was Russel Osman and after they spoke about JT being a Saint he mentioned that he would soon be playing at a charity golf day at Stoneham in aid of Kevin Moore - didn't quite catch it clearly but I'm sure he said that Kevin had alzheimers! Does anyone know anymore about this? Surely he's too young.
  3. whatever the yeovil fans said or did in the run up to that trouble is pretty irrelevant. there's simply no excuse to stamp on someone's head whilst they're lying on the ground. absolute scum.
  4. Think you should write to Gordon Brown and point it out.
  5. Calm down dear, there will be plenty buying on the day.
  6. I also got an email from CAFC confirming the same thing but it said they would be cash only.
  7. I've just been informed by someone from CAFC that tickets will be available to Saints fans on the day at the ground - cash only.
  8. also Mellis, James, Thomas and Lallana judging by Saturday!
  9. Well he defintely dived but I wonder why UEFA can act in this instance but failed to rescind Darren Fletcher's red card in last season Cl semi? Will be interesting to see what they do if Ronaldo or Messi dives to win a match winning penalty against a Prem League team in a big CL match - absolutely nothing I suspect.
  10. wow, talk about massive overeaction. imprisonable offence lol. The bookies were running a stupid line of business, it is hardly up there with drugging racehorse or deliberately letting in goals. IIRC there were quite a few footballers who took advantage - distinctly remember watching a few live matches where the ball was booted off the pitch first thing.
  11. ....we should be walking this league. honestly some of you should grow some balls and stop panicing.
  12. when the tories get back in it'll be a return to the days of leaving your front doors unlocked, zero violence and minimal crime just like it was in the early 90s......
  13. I'm just hoping that Pardew can use any money made on rasiak/saga and make a bald move in the transfer market.
  14. so true! can someone clear this up because today I've seen a new rule that I never knew about - in the first half we put a man on the touchline to put off their long throw man and the refs and lineman insisted he move back about two yards. I always thought you could stand where you like as long as you didn't jump?
  15. come off it, the Brentford player ran past two midfielders and then Lloyd James. A big improvement on Patterson.
  16. the season before last he was by far and away our top scorer and we escaped relegation by a whisker. i think his comment is fair.
  17. Most often on my own, grew-up abroad and strangely none of my neighbours seem keen on coming with me.
  18. amen brother, amen.
  19. guess the missing word lol
  20. never understood the mentality of leaving early just to beat the traffic. do these people leave early at the cinema as well?
  21. That only works if you buy a business that generates cash and isn't already leveraged to the hilt. Who in the right mind would lend Saints a significant wedge?
  22. Agree that Sky is better than ITV but then that isn't hard. My main gripe with Sky is that too often their pundits are just the wooden ex-pro of whichever team is playing. They just say exactly what they see e.g. "Becks has put a lovely ball in their and rooney just managed to get his head to it and put it in the net" thanks but I'm watching the replay too and can already see exactly that. More often than not the beeb will tell you why the tactical battle was won/lost which I prefer. I think a lot of it is based on the personalities. I grant that Motty and Lawro could drive anyone up the wall but I still prefer them to Andy Gray who is such a ccok and Alan Smith could make scoring the winning goal in the world cup final seem a non-event.
  23. lol, and the other channels are any good? ITV - too many adverts and dreadful highlights package Sky - over hype everything, bland presenters and most often "one of the lads" ex-pros who provide little insight into the game.
  24. Then again, cheaper than the likes of PwC, Deloitte etc
