Labour MP, Jo Cox, shot three times at a surgery session in Yorkshire.

Man came in, there was a tussle and he then fired three shots. One of the shots went into her face and he proceeded to kick her while she was on the ground.

    Just horrific.

I hope Jo Cox survives OK but it is not surprising if this sort of thing is allowed to happen

I can understand peoples concerns for the future with Globalization and Austerity but this sort of thing makes things worse

You are right and after I posted I thought should have been sadness not anger. Leaves 2 young children. Unbelievably sad.

That's something Jo Cox would have been vehemently opposed to, so that's a no.

Have you seen her husband's statement? He is not echoing that at all and unfathomably dignified

I must admit that she wasn't really on my 'radar' much before yesterday, but by all acounts she was a outstandingly humane, principled and compassionate MP. The British people don't really care much for their politicians anymore, but they are not all worthless unprincipled liars out for themselves are they?

thinking about it, halting the campaigning for 4 days is a tad OTT.
I have noticed that the 'poison' of debate has been levied squarely on the leave camp

nice bit of point scoring there.

clearly, they are all at it ffs

It doesn't matter in a way, as those people should be ashamed of their actions.

Thomas Mair stated his name as 'Death to traitors, freedom to Britain!' in court this morning.
