If he goes we can get in a decent keeper..we now are an attractive option in this league.

Maik Taylor, Darryl Flahaven or even Richard Wright back ;-)

KD was not good on crosses nor is Bart or Forecast and in this League its vital we have someone that can come and claim the ball.

Yes, and to stop it going into the goal thingy.

My thoughts exactly. Kelvin was great last season but we've got Michael Poke, if necessary, and there are plenty of decent keepers around. For example, Ian Bennett, Nick Colgan, Gabor Kiraly, Andy Marshall, Andy Oakes, Gavin Ward and Nicky Weaver have all had decent careers are all available for free.

Good point. Nobody is indispensable!

Great point about crosses. It will be vital in this league. I don't want him to stay and then after a few dodgy crosses we turn again on him. It might be a good time for him to go with his head held high and we could get a commanding keeper in.

I know there are other options around but I think that Davis has shown that he cares about this club and I think it would be a shame to lose a club captain. Stability at a club doesn't just come about through manager or owners, these include players as well.

Most of those other keepers you have named i would genuinely consider to be worse than Davis. Even on crosses. The only one i think would be better than Davis is Maik Taylor but its unlikely that Birmingham will release him when he has valuable premiership experience which they will need to stay up this year.

Please, PLEASE stay Kelvin. No-one will blame you if you go, but you'll go down in Southampton folklore if you stay here.

Back up keeper at West Ham, or Saints legend - make your choice

(note: please take the second option! PLEASE!!!!)

Yep and we didnt need Antii as we had Smith and Blayney they were the next international keepers as well as Bart who was the bestest ever.

I posted yesterday saying that Davis was holding out for our takeover to go through, and I've heard even better news today.

It would seem that Davis is set to remain a Saint. Should be confirmed by the end of the week. Fingers crossed.
