for_heaven's_Saint Posted 26 October, 2009 Share Posted 26 October, 2009 I see they're now on sale: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1837955,00.html Saturday's attendace was over 21,000, with about 1,000 MK Dons fans there, meaning there were a lot of fans who just bought tickets for that day and were not season ticket holders. We have beeen getting near to 20,000 for a while now too, so one would suspect that a large amount of non-season ticket holders have been going to a number of games. Surely if we can keep winning we can sell a couple of thousand of these by Chistmas? Is anyone considering getting one who decided not to get a full season ticket? Saint Mikey Posted 26 October, 2009 Share Posted 26 October, 2009 Anyone know if these are valid from the Brighton game or until, say, the 11th or 12th Home game? I'd interested to know this too. I'd presume it'd be the 12th game or so, which is Huddersfield on the 2nd of Jan. This would make sense, being the New Year an' all.

St Will Posted 26 October, 2009 Share Posted 26 October, 2009 Question: I've never been a season ticket holder, as I can be around for 5 or 6 games, then away for the next 5 or 6, so I have always just bought tickets as and when I want them. However I'm thinking now about getting a half season ticket. How does it work when I want to buy an extra ticket individually for each game? How do I ensure I'm sat next to the person I buy an extra ticket for?
latter day saint Posted 26 October, 2009 Share Posted 26 October, 2009 have already been hinting about this to the missus so hope she has been saving up or i'm going to be an unhappy saint on xmas day just wish i'd gone ahead and got a season ticket as i've been to every home match. When you get a half season ticket it's essentially the same as having one of the old memberships- u get first pick of the tickets before general sale, so you just then buy the tickets either online, over the phone or from the ticket office, stating your season ticket number if you have to. In terms of sitting next to that person, the only way you can really do it is by making sure you get a season ticket that does not have another season ticket holder next to it (the ticket office can tell you that) and then make sure you get the ticket as soon as it goes on sale so noone gets it first. Umm well technically you are stuck in the seat in which you purchase the ticket, however you can quite easily find two seats two empty seats and sit there. Which end do you like to sit in usually? countysaint Posted 26 October, 2009 Share Posted 26 October, 2009 I was really pleased with the pricing for the MK Donkeys. I took the Missus and both kids for £38. That is proper pricing and great value at under a tenner a head! I was so pleased with the pricing and her indoors was so pleased with the way we played on Saturday,She said she would be happy to get a half year ST for all of us which when I enquired was just over £450 for the rest of the season.Obviuosly this will decrease with each home game that passes after Brighton game. Excellent pricing structure and now selling a product again that is worth watching and worth paying for. COYR

I've got a Season ticket with only 1 spare seat next to me, but so far my Mrs has been coming to every game too which I've had to get matchday ticket for and the seat next to me on two occaisons so far hasn't been available. This hasn't been a problem though, the ticket office are helpful and if you are happy to move somewhere else for that particular game they will issue you tickets together and retain your Season ticket until after the game. Gigersaint Posted 26 October, 2009 Share Posted 26 October, 2009 Going to get a half Season ticket for the Mrs now, will save me trips to St Marys during work lunchtimes to get matchday tickets especially as she has come to every home game so far this season bar one when one of my stepsons went with me. I've always been wary of buying additional matchday tickets online and getting them through the post... I regularly get letters through my door where my other post has been elsewhere first with someones hand writing on it telling the postal service so, even though my address is correct on the envelope!! hamster Posted 27 October, 2009 Share Posted 27 October, 2009 St Will, this is what you need to do. Buy your 1/2 season tocket. When you buy it, request the option of a FREE 1/2 season ticket (with every adult) for a fictional nephew and when you need to take a mate/girlfriend they simply sit in your 'nephew's' seat voila. Added bonus that when we get to wembley, you get " tickets and sell on eon tp recoup your initial outlay. That last bit is a joke, before I get jumped. You might even consider taking some young'un and in 30-40 years time they will be on SWF telling everyone how their fave uncle took them to their first ever saints match. It happens. sotonjoe Posted 27 October, 2009 Share Posted 27 October, 2009 How is essentially reserving two seats, but only using one, a responsible practice? Surely you're minimising the number of seats available to other fans? I know we're not quite in danger of selling out the ground just yet, but if an element of people start doing this in popular areas of the ground, then ticket choice will become artificially limited. iansums Posted 27 October, 2009 Share Posted 27 October, 2009 It's a good point St. Will is making and it's what puts me off buying a season ticket. Firstly I'm not able to go to every game and secondly sometimes I go on my own, sometimes with a mate and sometimes with my 10yr old daughter. I can't justify buying 2 adult ST's but would quite happily pay for myself and my daughter (12yr pair) and then 'upgrade' to an adult ticket on a match by match basis for my mate. If the club could offer a discount for bulk purchasing tickets to five home matches in one go or somehting, then i'd be happy with that.

Although it was a litle TIC, I wasn't actually suggesting defrauding the club nor wasting a seat. I would encourage Will to take a youngster if his GF isn't going, and should she decide to go then he could offer a lend of the kids ST to someone on here.
