''It is still up in the air. He will be in charge of Aldershot this weekend so talks will continue between Jason and Nicola Cortese next week. However, I understand that he should be back at Saints full time soon, probably by the end of next week. I cna confirm that the role is not with the first team''

Seems that something is coming up with the Academy - investment? Poaching some players from Arsenal?

Hi Adam, I'm interested in the Saints Academy. It has been hugely successful and without it we would have undoubtedly sunk. Have you any knowledge of the what the future holds for the academy ? Friday October 30, 2009 12:22 John

Adam, we all know the academey isnt what it once was. But have we any stars of the future coming up? Friday October 30, 2009 12:23 David

12:23 Adam Leitch: The academy has been a great success - also in its previous format going back over many years with Lawrie and Dave Merrington. The future looks bright. There will be investment in this area. Watch this space "

There has been some talk about further development of the training facilities (notably for the academy) and possibly moving the lodge to the training ground.

I thought it was interesting to see he wasnt sure if Liebherr would stick around long term or not. I was hoping for a more positive answer to that one.

Yeah, I see what you mean; but I think we need to consider that even if ML does leave at some point, hopefully Cortese will stay on. With reference to Crab Lungs post earlier, MC has many many contacts in business that could be used to finance saints if and when needs be.

Yeah I hope if ML ever does leave that Cortese will stay on. After all it was his idea to buy the club. Well he was the one who suggested it to Marcus. I am pretty sure he would know people with real money unlike Peter Storrie's recent track record for pompey! ;)

Why the hell would anyone want to ask this spotty kid questions about SFC?

He gets most of his info from this site FFS.

Waste of time and another PR stunt by the paper.

An experienced sports journalist would be more worthwhile.

I think the majority of the stuff in the Echo is supplied to them by a PR company and the media liason at SFC.

I was thinking something similar. It was very clear he has no "insider view".

I got fed up after 30 mins of questions like "Adam, what do you think is Rickie Lambert's favourite colour ?"
