I had a go at R Solent on Wednesday - saying that 30,000 Saints fans wd miss broadcast as they'd all be on way to SMS. They said listen to sports news bulletins Mon morning and they should be announcing when it's being replayed.

Stupid time to transmit - might catch first ten minutes unless I buy batteries for my old tranny.

They'll probably cherry-pick snippets to go out after 5pm today.

Well, they just played a snippet and he did not sound happy.

These are the finances we need for our business plan and Markus has funded that spent more in window but focused on 5 year plan still debt free will stay that way

100% NC makes decisions ML not a board member a Happy Shareholder comes and enjoys his football not involved at all

Paddy Brown asks about Supporters & the relationship with the club not a part of the 5 year plan are surprised by the bndage (lol) but are aware and is important.

 

What happesn if ML walks away? Will it leave debts? Don't intend to leave don't know what happens in the future, but we are debt free happy club.

 

Club involves business & football. If management runs it into a wall then tough on the team but they are one entity Android "very ambitious" he may be smarter than English football he gets their points back then so can we - lol

Regrets so far? In GENERAL one or two decisions on staff could have done better on, no big regrets so far.

Why did ML buy? ML saw NC on a different matter and ended up buying the club much harder than they thought

ML better does enjoy it I hope he enjoys yes he does....

AP relationship is never been different from the begiinning we talk a lot we have the same targets when we see where we are coming from

 

He doesn't think a supporter would be happy with chairman who spends money in window and simply when does that expectations change. Always on the same page what we want to achieve

 

Always with a view for next season. He made statement too much carried away by cup matches players bought to get into playoffs never said wanted to get promoted.

Although I can understand the nothing left to eat stuff, my wife hates shopping and if I don't do it we don't get to eat.Unless it's market day, she doesn't mind a bit of haggling at the market.

Agreed playoff target when spent money. Now gap is too much. Both know there is no rift and both get on.

 

Did not response to his statement showed string support club has people pleased with JPT final don't think we would be happy staying 2 more years here and then back to back we want to see what this team can do, these guys came to sign for the playoffs.

 

All convinced team is better than L1 but often problems on the pitch some times see tremendous stuff. 5 year plan not changed but immediacy of ambition is there. No rift

Can we keep the squad together? Playoffs is one thing promotion is another. It was important to give clear signal to players.

 

We think we have the finances and we don't have to sell. Not going to sell unless we get serious offers or player (we know how football works) wants to go. Maybe another addition or replacements. Want to imporve the team.

NC frustrated very active behind the scenes chasing JPT tickets

 

Our head of ops helped build wembley he's been showing them how they could fit more fans in.

 

Chasing FL & Wembley offered to pay for stewarding

 

Why do we have this stadium? We should be allowed to fill it. We could fill it ourselves don't need Carlisle to do that it is political decision.

 

If they change their mind now they will be discredited no chance they will now. We showed them how we could do it. They misjudged us. they didn't like being shown how to run their biz - lol

not very happy on the outcome of JPT tkt distribution. BUT however we did that we could have sold 60,000 and someone somewhere always missed out. Won't be done the same way again. Unfair on uberfans who missed one game in JPT but went to 15/20 games.

 

Had to bring in 40 additional staff to ticket office was a massive operation. Cost us a lot of money the extra phone lines, the extra booking fee covered those costs. Without the fee would not have been transparent. You paid for the ticket and paid for the costs of getting people in to do this.

Sporting Director Appointment? Do we need one? Does it help you?

Yes still a thing for the future,not the inmmediate future.

A team is involved in transfers manager says what is need the scouts involved NC, Manager, & Scouts involved works very well so far.

 

SD would not be working out at the moment but not excluded for the future.

Should chairman get involved? Europe is different. Didn't come here to change mentality of managers etc, he is applying to us, he needs to respond to making the funds available he needs to understand. it is about having business common sense and a process the cheque writer gets involved.

 

Would like to make SMS station, working with council & BR long process

New stadium too early to talk about it. Immediate stuff re planning and research more useage non match days.

 

Feasibility stadium no clear plans looking at traffic problems not at right location UNLESS area and roads around are developed. If can sort everything out can't see a problem enlarging SMS but if not wouldn't rule out looking at something else

Well ive found myself agreeing with everything he has said so far. Certainly hes right with expenditure we should be in a better position. He clearly has huge ambition and doesnt want the JPT to distract from the prime goal of promotion out of this league. No debt whatsoever and no silly loans going on to be lumbered with.

Away fans

Traditions at SMS is only 8 years. Moving away fans would make sense. Major probem is the policing

 

Long process talked with fan reps survey was surprisingly in favour

 

Paying for staff at the ground parking, much more behind this, he discovered a lot of waste, club has to purchase space on match days. No company's do that, not expecting to renew the leases. 1st time ever been involved with getting staff to work.

 

Academy substantial investment turned completely around. Again did a survey have a plan mission and a vision and finances available. Plan to have possibly the best Academy in country in 5 years time

 

Wants our won scholars gettinginto 1st team this is the plan so the moment we in PL 30/40% of our squad is Academy.

 

It is about the quality of scouts etc

Academy is about getting players for 1st team not about winning youth cups. Look at barcelona this is our aim 50% of squad own players

 

will never spend 30/40mil buying players so need to develop them

Well the potential new stadium revelation by members here proved to be a red herring. Nicola basically didn't rule it out in the future, but there is very much more real attention being turned to making St Marys a better venue.

 

And on that front, it was nice to hear that the railway line, running by the stadium, was mentioned, and is being looked at for the efficient bringing in of supporters and taking them away.
