Matchday tickets are on sale for the first 6 games on Monday.

How odd to have Bournemouth tickets on sale when Season Tickets are still being sold.

On the subject of Season tickets, I see that the club are cranking up the advertising and marketing in a final push to maximise sales for the last 3 days of the month.

How much earlier is this than 'normal'?

Millwall put their tickets for the game on sale 21st July last season, I would imagine it was the same for home tickets. So about a month. Not that it matters, just seems odd they are focusing on matchday tickets before renewals have even finished for some reason. Very odd, especially when they have Bournemouth tickets on sale.

asked at ticket office how season ticket sales are going - was told "pretty good been very steady here" - doesn't sound anything like the rush we had last year, I am sure we would be getting stories on OS if we were rushing up to 12,000

Why is it odd? Bournemouth are among the first 6 we play at home, not including the Cup match of course.

Because Bournemouth is likely to be a sell-out ( and in plenty of time ), and by releasing the tickets now, the Northam will most likely be sold out with match day ticket holders before they stop selling season tickets.

This means that people who are late getting their season tickets at the end of next month might not be able to get a season ticket in the Northam, or have to move seats for a few games... I thought the club were trying to cut administration costs down?

I thought it was quite obvious? No?

If Bournemouth sells out, I will eat my garage.

Perhaps the club are putting six matches on sale nice and early for all those who couldn't afford a season ticket in one whack...

This way it is pretty much equivalent to a payment plan isn't it?

Buy six match tickets, and then spend the next two or three months saving up to buy the next six match tickets...

Four payments later and you've bought 24 tickets.

Sounds like a pretty good alternative to a payment plan to me, the only drawback being you're not guaranteed 'your' seat. However if you choose one that doesn't already have a season ticket holder sitting in it [and I guess there won't be once ST sales have finished], and you buy when the six matches are released, it really shouldn't be a problem....

A good alternative? What paying a £7 a time premium? Paying effectively £180 interest on a £400 ticket?

Amazing alternative.

Payment Plan = Roughly £25 charge/interest.

Club buy 6 games a time = £180 charge/interest.

Are you sure?????

How about do that for the first 12 matches and save up for a half season ticket.....

Don`t quite understand this. Surely Dunes "tax" is £3 per transaction, so the more tickets you buy at one time, the less per ticket??

As much as I dislike him (and I do have him on ignore) DBP does have a point.

If you buy a ticket that a future ST holder then reserves who has to move??

And where does the £7 come from, it's £3 per transaction, so buy 6 tickets = £3 tax.

24 tickets = £12 tax, less than the purported (and frankly unbelievable if true) £25 for a Zebra loan!!

Mind you, you are then spending £612 on a full season's worth of tix

I am talking about the lack of the £180 discount for buying a season ticket in comparison to paying on a match by match basis which = £7.82 a game. That's without the £3 x 4 booking fees which actually means the saving is £192 over a year.

Exactly, the point is in the last sentence so I don't know why you even bothered to post the rest.

As for the tickets, the season ticket holder has to move to a different area of the ground until their season ticket seat becomes available.

£16 for a first round League Cup tie against Bournemouth. Jesus.

lol@ our new ticket office manager Mr Cortese who has managed to make kids tickets more expensive for this game whilst reducing adult prices. Genius.

Then again, maybe he doesn't believe in kids at football. All he has to do now is put a premium on women and students and he has my full backing ( did I just say that? ).
