swannymere Posted 14 September, 2010 Share Posted 14 September, 2010 Seeing as everybody seems to be aware of the accusations being levelled at Pardew do they really carry any substance? The reason i ask is that you would have thought the tabloids would have a field day with it all!
Saint_clark Posted 14 September, 2010 Share Posted 14 September, 2010 Seeing as everybody seems to be aware of the accusations being levelled at Pardew do they really carry any substance? The reason i ask is that you would have thought the tabloids would have a field day with it all! It's in the best interests of all those involved to keep it as quiet as possible. And even the tabloids won't run a rumour like that based off an internet forum.
Matthew Le God Posted 14 September, 2010 Share Posted 14 September, 2010 The tabloids also wouldn't care that much about the manager of a League One team.

Matthew Le God Posted 14 September, 2010 Share Posted 14 September, 2010 And even the tabloids won't run a rumour like that based off an internet forum. The Daily Star ran with a story that Rockstar Games was making GTA: Rothbury because they saw a mockup of a game cover online on a forum. Rockstar Games were less than impressed. Liquidshokk Posted 14 September, 2010 Share Posted 14 September, 2010 I thought this was going to be about what Pardew has been up to since getting the boot... I genuinely hope he does ok following the sacking and am looking forward to hearing that he has landed a job again. Im starting to think him going will ultimately do us good but I do think he's a good manager and deserves to do well somewhere new.
View From The Top Posted 14 September, 2010 Share Posted 14 September, 2010 Talk has been rife for a while that AP has a "super injunction" out on the press for events when he was at West Ham.
buctootim Posted 14 September, 2010 Share Posted 14 September, 2010 Interesting views on Pardew from West Ham fans. Mostly negative, which surprised me since I thought that was the club where he shone, comparatively. Lots of talk about ego and extra curriculalr activity. http://www.westhamonline.net/forum_flat.php?4769120%7Ca0_c6_a0_a0|n|1|

I cannot see any club giving him a chance now and he will be in the wilderness for a few years again before another chance comes his way. Just a feeling. Pancake Posted 14 September, 2010 Share Posted 14 September, 2010 Every time a manager/player/tea lady leaves a club there are rumour about alcoholism, womanising, bullying, devil-worshipping... usually because some sad fans just cant accept the fact that the manager was sacked by the Chairman/CEO/Board as they were not happy with the results, regardless of how good the result actually were. The fact the football clubs dont normally say exact details, combined with the sordid lives of the countries high-profile players means that these rumours have some sort of believability and credence with the more easily led sections of fan-dom.
