Interviewer - ''Has cortese given you a specific budget to spend" Adkins - "Look, i have a great relationship with Cortese'' Interviewer - ''but has cortese given you a budget to work with?" Adkins "bit pushy aren't you? me and cortese have a great relationship and bids have been made privately (substational bids too) for players. Probably for the benefit of some of the numpties on here who might not have understood the way it was stated in the first instance. ..................and still don't. The reoccurring message is that they will not spend money for spendings sake.

Colinjb Posted 3 January, 2011 Share Posted 3 January, 2011 "camoli was apprently in the crowd" Again. Yes, Liverpool must want Chamberlain. If we keep him through this month then we have done well. They will have to pay through the nose mind.

Colinjb Posted 3 January, 2011 Share Posted 3 January, 2011 not chamberlain but Lallana is scousers target' date=' they are after someone for now not 3 years down the road[/quote'] If they hated Konchesky they will really turn on Lallana. I love the guy but he is not to Liverpool's standard. It makes sense though. He was wanted at Fulham by Hodgson.

Cricketphilly Posted 3 January, 2011 Share Posted 3 January, 2011 Liverpools standard now is not what it used to be. But pulling a player from the 3rd division Mike?! They are on a hiding to nothing with this move, Lallana will have no chance whatsoever.
beatlesaint Posted 3 January, 2011 Share Posted 3 January, 2011 Liverpool should have more imprtant targets than a couple of young League One players in all honesty.
benjii Posted 3 January, 2011 Share Posted 3 January, 2011 It makes sense if they are scouting Lallana. In terms of ability he is obviously top flight standard and they could pick him up very cheaply in the summer even if we refused to sell in Jan. dubai_phil Posted 3 January, 2011 Share Posted 3 January, 2011 Liverpool - ah yes the team that will have a new manager in a couple of weeks with Woy on Gardening Leave. More likely Comoli is scouting NA than AoC at the moment unless Dalglish is being given 3 years to build a new team to challenge

Chez Posted 3 January, 2011 Share Posted 3 January, 2011 But pulling a player from the 3rd division Mike?! They are on a hiding to nothing with this move, Lallana will have no chance whatsoever. Signing Chamberlain makes a lot of sense adding to the Shelvey acquisition and creating a talent pool for the next ten years as Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs etc seem to be doing. sammysaint Posted 3 January, 2011 Share Posted 3 January, 2011 Lallana is a class player for league one and championship and would be ok in a lower league prem team but he never play uefa cup or championship league tho IMO.

I think the slower pace of the Premiership would allow him to flourish, add to this the fact that there are less meathead defenders he would do well: I would like to see him get there with us though, just as I would AoC.
