Ticket Office Problems

Well I am really annoyed with the ticket office at the moment. Firstly I phone up to get my Man U tickets sorted on Wednesday being told I can have my season ticket seat in Block 42. So I say great I'll have them. (Granted I did think it strange but if your told you can have them you should have them). Had them confirm the tickets and seats and thought great.

I get my tickets in the post today and there are just randomly placed seats right at the bcak in 41 not where I want to be or was told where I would be.

I phone them up and they say they can't do anything at all and then tell me to phone the ticket office direct using the 0845 number. I have been trying to get this all sorted today incase I need to take these ones back (as I'm off to the game in a moment) but they keep saying call back later.

So anyone else had issues getting their Man U tickets sorted I know the Online options when a bit mental.

Really Really poor showing form the club that I can't get hold of anyone to sort this out and that they would make such a complete and utter cock up.

The back of 41 is where all the action happens. Make sure you wear gloves so your hands dont get sore from hitting those boards.

Seriously though, do you just not want to be at the back? Do you normally sit near the front?

I like where I am near the away supporters or Block 1 near the away fans more banter with them.

Na my tickets are more towards the kingsland side. Anyway still not the point as they still have managed to make a complete balls up over tickets for this game plus their call centre lines are awfull keep you queuing for 20 mins then hang up on you to save a bit of money on the 0800 number.

I think your problem was that "your" seat was in a block that will be used by the plastic mancs. Whoever talked to you was a prat not to know the block wasn't available to sell.

I had my own seat in Block 30 with no problem at all.

Actually, having not been able to get my seat "on line" I got it via the call centre: 3 minutes from start to finish. I went On Line again afterwards just to make sure that the order had gone through on my account --- it had.

But I could,t resist trying to but another seat: and it let me. I didn't get as far as actually paying though

Spoke to ghey people around me and they all had the same thing and also all the people who booked on wednesday around me had the same happen. Would of just been nice to of had a call back and then advised of the issue.

Apparently alot of the web orders have had issues and they have cancelled slot of the orders without notifying the purchasers first but I can't confirm this myself

Ye, got tickets for Walsall a, Charlton a, Hartlepool a.

Might queue up on the phones all day Tuesday for Utd tkts, or might drive down overnight Monday and camp out at the TO, or might just give it a miss and watch on tellybox.

You got a thing with angry Jonny?

Anyone know if I can buy more than one ticket when I queue for Man U on Tuesday morning. ie, as a family, 4 of us are on the database (4 membership numbers) can I use all 4 numbers to get tickets? A mate informed me that it is one ticket per person applying in person at the ticket office.

Still write a compliant to the ticket office might get some comfot from a sorry letter.

Off topic but Anyone know the ticket office number that is not the 0800 one you seem to get thru quicker on that number.

Yeah I think thats what i'll do. Haven't penned one of those for a long time. As stated it's more the principle that the ticket booking people ****ed up but no apology or call to say so and then sort it, they just did their one thing.

With regards to the non 0800 number I am not sure as the non geographical number I did have does not go to the same place anymore. The 0845 number is just as bad and you end up being charged. Also I have no idea why they have not gone to a 0300 / 0345 number as this is part of your inclusive minutes on a mobile instead of being charged 10-20p on you mobile a minute.

And this people is why kids should not drink shandy.

BTW. IT is more of a fact that if I had known that we were not getting our season tickets seats then the guys I sit with would of block booked in an area together but we all booked and told we had our seats only to find out that we are now in different parts of the ground. Not a major issue I know but would still of been nice if we were given the option. P.S In a standard game even if the ground was full we would still get our tickets it's only due to the extra 5% rule on the FAC that we have had to be moved. And I think you missed the point that when we booked we were told we could have our seats.

It's 1 ticket per season ticket I know that so I got 2 myself 1 each for me and the old man. So if you have 4 numbers you should be able to get 4 tickets using these even if it's only you who are there.

I didn't have a problem securing my season ticket seat, but I went in person. However, I am not pleased with the deterioration in attitude of the ticket office. A year ago they couldn't do enough for you, looked smart and put the customer first. Now it has become a motley crew with a miserable outlook, unshaven, untidy, chewing sandwiches whilst serving and addressing you in single-word gruff noices. Someting has happened and it needs to be reversed.

They are usually pleasant whenever I go there.

There are often one or two pieces of tight snatch too.

You must have been dealing with a totally different set of people than I did then. I went on Wednesday for the 12.00 opening. They had a problem with the system and couldn't serve immediately (another issue I might add) but they sent a message by Security all along the queue to keep us informed. When an elderly gentleman fainted I stepped to the front, excused myself and requested a First Aider A.S.A.P. One arrived in minutes.

I had our two season tickets plus customer numbers and post codes for two friends. They dealt quickly and politely with my request. The fellow behind me only had 3 of the 4 season ticket booklets with him, they sorted his problem also.

All the while the staff dealt with a whole raft of differing issues and everyone I saw came away happy with their service.

Please, if it was that bad, take it up with the ticket office. I'm sure they will be pleased to hear, and help, with constructive criticism.

I work for three and was only thinking that last week, there was a 02380 or something number I used to get my skate tickets last season and JPT final hate big games always hard to get thru.

Someone I knew wrote a complaint about the ticket office because they gave them seats in family area and said why would three 20 plus somethings want a ticket there when they asked for seats near northam as there ST was in the block away fans get for cup games and they got a sorry and a full refund.

What do people think the queues will be like at the TO tomorrow morning? Was thinking of going down there and getting my ticket in person rather than relying on the phone (spent a nightmare 6 hours trying to get P*mpey tickets last year). I'd quite happily queue at SMS all day, but I have an exam at 2.30 so I need to be back in Bassett at about 1.30 to get ready.

Got through to the ticket office on the 0800 number within a few seconds at 5.29pm.

We have a a strange situation where me and my son have duplicate customer numbers on 2 different season tickets.

A really helpful chap (Toby) said "not to worry, he would be sure he could sort it out". In a short while he was back with 2 season tickets swapped from Block 42 for Block 3. sorted!

These guys generally get a bad press, and people dont often post the good stuff, so just wanted to balance it out a bit...

They'll go quickly then...i'll ask again, does anyone know what the queues are going to be like at the ticket office tomorrow morning? If it's going to take past 12pm then I'll just buy the tickets on the phone, but i'd prefer to avoid the whole phone debacle and just get my ticket quickly.

To those who responded to my comment I can only say that my reaction was from the last two times I've visited, which was recently. I very much remember the charm offensive which was laid on when Markus and Nicola came into "the building". The word must clearly have gotten to the ticket office that we wanted was cheerful and happy supporters and bums on seats. (Goes together those two.)

In my last visits it hasn't been the same, and whilst I have received my tickets it wasn't with the cheerful attitude of then. Chewing on a sandwich, appearing unshaven and uncombed etc. were issues I observed when standing there watching. There clearly wasn't management guidelines and no oversight. Am I going to protest wildly? No, but I thought that it was worth mentioning since the ticket office is the face of the club which supporters see. The appearance I saw belonged at Luton or other relative backwaters. Not in my opinion at Saints. I doubt that I stumbled across a couple of one-offs.

People were already queuing outside the ticket office over an hour ago and camping out overnight according to the Saints spokesman on Twitter! Daft really. Glad I already have mine as a STH.

If you want to be sure, just go to the stadium early(ish) tomorrow and queue, ring whilst you wait when the lines open.

It is easy, just found it after less than 30 seconds of login into the the official site. We have another 500 tickets after sell out the origanal 500.

Ok I did start a thread to moan about the ticket system / office system's but I have to say 99% of the time they are great but this time for me and my mates (around my seats) they failed us big time (And an apology or announcement saying sorry theyc cocked up would of been nice). Hopefully for the rest of the bookings I hope they don't cock up like they did with ours. But at least we have tickets I suppose. Good Luck everyone.

I have to admit that I found it odd they couldn't tell me for sure on Wednesday if my seat was available or if it had been taken by Utd (I'm right on the borderline usually).

Seemed a bit like the date was decided and they were so keen to get the tickets on sale they didn't have time to fully communicate to staff what the official line was re block 42.
