fanimal Posted 21 April, 2011 Share Posted 21 April, 2011 Just so good to be a Saint right now - we are on the verge of something great!
benjii Posted 21 April, 2011 Share Posted 21 April, 2011 No doubt this will be perceived as "arrogant" in one breath by the same sets of fans who proceed to demonstrate its truth in the next breath.

wild-saint Posted 21 April, 2011 Share Posted 21 April, 2011 Cue the brighton fans forum to go into a meltdown as they get thier knickers in a twist over our supposed arrogance yet again.
scotty Posted 21 April, 2011 Share Posted 21 April, 2011 Interesting comment from NC; “Nothing has changed,” he said. “This is a long-term project. This was never a financial transaction. "It was done with the strong belief that we can achieve something here which is going to be special; special for all the people, special for the region, special for the city and special for us.” If that is genuinely how he sees it, and I think it is, then the jobs a good'un. Happy days indeed
Saint_clark Posted 21 April, 2011 Share Posted 21 April, 2011 How does losing 2-1 to United prove we have goals in the team?
scotty Posted 21 April, 2011 Share Posted 21 April, 2011 How does losing 2-1 to United prove we have goals in the team? or more to the point, Chappers scored for us..... "In Lee Barnard and Rickie Lambert, they also have goals in their team, as they proved in losing 2-1 to Manchester United in the fourth round of the FA Cup." Capel Saint Posted 22 April, 2011 Share Posted 22 April, 2011 Thought the article trailed off a bit as I thought the journalist was going to explain a bit more why he thinks Southampton have a better chance than most of getting back to the Prem. Does he know the Liebherr Family are very kindly funding improved training ground facilities this summer? No mention at all so his research wasn't that great. Still it is nice to hear Cortese mention that the Liebherr Family are sticking with the club even after Saint Markus passed away last summer. God bless 'em and long may it continue! david in sweden Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 How does losing 2-1 to United prove we have goals in the team? I think the point is - that even though we lost - there are a lot of Prem.sides who never even break nil, when playing United, and they are all in the Premier league. benjii Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 Talking of the Training Ground does anybody know the latest on this as things seem to have gone very quiet? Plan was to build after the season so I think it being "quiet" at the moment is deliberate!
saintscottofthenortham Posted 23 April, 2011 Share Posted 23 April, 2011 Talking of the Training Ground does anybody know the latest on this as things seem to have gone very quiet? All we heard was that planning permission had been granted. It's nothing out of the ordinary that nothing has been heard since because there is usually quite a gap between P.P and major works starting.
