Peter Crouch desides to shoot from a narrow angle in the final seconds against Everton. The keeper saves, and starts a counter attack, from which Bent scores. Lost 2 points, which would have held us up on goal difference:

And yet look at them now...

Peter Crouch at Stoke, 13th in Premier League

Saggychops at QPR, 19th in the Premier League and about to be relegated

James Beattie at Accrington Stanley, languishing toward the bottom of League 2

Marcus Bent and Nigel Martyn not even playing any more!

While the mighty Saints sit proudly at 12th in the Premier League

WTFILN!

Of course, and we would still be struggling under the Dark Lord instead of going into admin and being purchased by a multi billionaire. Thanks Twizzle.

Brighton away 2011.

Winning that we were as good as up, our journey started properly.

Would agree. In all my Saints days, that was so momentous. Killed their unbeaten at home record, two late goals, Fonte's unforgettable celebration, great day for weather, never gone home happier.
