Trump has been convicted of falsifying business records, orchestrating a coup after he lost the election, mishandling classified documents, sexual assault and paying off prostitutes - and yet the Democrats are the problem.

The fact that half of the nation still voted for him shows the kind of state the world and that country is in.

His name is all over the Epstein emails, he’s doing everything to not release them, and unfortunately there will always be those that are loyal to him.

The latest SouthPark whilst a bit silly illustrates it perfectly. Videos leaked of Vance and Trump shagging each other. Fox News goes into initial meltdown to be told it’s fake and then go with that.

He will be pushing that it’s a witch-hunt by Democrats so anything in Epstein files incriminating will just be brushed off and the hordes of supporters will go with their king is under attack. Won’t be as easy with St Peter at the Pearly Gates though.

Bizarre turn of events in Trumpland over the last few days and I'm not sure what to make of it.

Three possible scenarios i see (as of Mon 17, 11am)...

The DOJ investigation of Democrats involved with Epstein will stop the files in their tracks from being opened..after being approved by the House and probably the Senate....because it's an ongoing investigation, "oh well. so sorry. no files". Likely isn't it.

Or, the FBI have finished scrubbing clean those files, ready for release. Highly risky....all those potential whistleblowers out there. 

Or, it all comes out intact and he screams "hoax". 

All depends on which will yield a satisfactory outcome, in MAGA eyes.

I really don't think Trump has a strategy, but we will see.

IMO it's very obvious that loads of high profile figures including Trump were up to no good with Epstein. He supplied them with young beautiful women who agree to sleep with them on demand in exchange for a lavish lifestyle with no strings attached. That's going to be attractive to a whole host of high profile people. Like you say, I don't think it's going to change much of anything really, he's certainly not going to resign or anything like that and will just deny it happened. The only thing that would be a game changer would be if they had video but I reckon that would have been leaked by now if they had.

Still don't understand why the Democrats didn't release them when they were in power. Probably didn't want to implicate too many figures from their side. Loads of them were at it the dirty bastards.

Plenty of US presidents have been serial shaggers, JFK being one of the worst. The issue here is that under aged girls could have been involved and there are implications that Epstein/the Russians could well have been using something to blackmail Trump. There is evidence of a great deal of money being transferred by wire between Epstein and Trump.

As ever Trump will rubbish any involvement he has as fake news and is already gearing up legal action against Democrats with connections with Epstein. He may have underestimated his problems though. There is a great deal of pressure building against him on social media and even some of the MAGA faithful are worried about his involvement. 
Here’s hoping that he has finally used up his 9 lives and will pay the price for his actions.

As we watch a lovely bit of unity as Trump and Democrats hold hands in front of a blazing pyre of shredded Epstein documents, I'm reminded of a Beeb podcast from the last couple of days.

In it, the passing subject of Trump being a FBI informer was raised. "Like a lot of conspiracy theories, they can be relatively true" said the host. Quite a different stance from our fact checking, verifying Beeb. 

This was from the person to share what I thought was the only bit of honesty about their election coverage. That they had tried to see the US electorate through their own value system, rather than report on what was there. So, on one hand a bit disappointing to see him embracing conspiracies. Unless, of course, that was just a clumsy way of saying this one really was true....

Oh look, it's our middle eastern guest has arrived at the Epstein documents pyre, wondering if using it to dispose of dissidents would be less messy than murdering them in embassies. "Things happen" as Donald says.

Trump’s misogyny is there for all to see by the way he treats respected female journalists who dare to ask him questions he doesn’t want to answer. If he treats women like this when the cameras are rolling it makes you wonder how he treats them when they are not.
