Trump has been convicted of falsifying business records, orchestrating a coup after he lost the election, mishandling classified documents, sexual assault and paying off prostitutes - and yet the Democrats are the problem.

The fact that half of the nation still voted for him shows the kind of state the world and that country is in.

His name is all over the Epstein emails, he’s doing everything to not release them, and unfortunately there will always be those that are loyal to him.

Bizarre turn of events in Trumpland over the last few days and I'm not sure what to make of it.

Three possible scenarios i see (as of Mon 17, 11am)...

The DOJ investigation of Democrats involved with Epstein will stop the files in their tracks from being opened..after being approved by the House and probably the Senate....because it's an ongoing investigation, "oh well. so sorry. no files". Likely isn't it.

Or, the FBI have finished scrubbing clean those files, ready for release. Highly risky....all those potential whistleblowers out there. 

Or, it all comes out intact and he screams "hoax". 

All depends on which will yield a satisfactory outcome, in MAGA eyes.

I really don't think Trump has a strategy, but we will see.

IMO it's very obvious that loads of high profile figures including Trump were up to no good with Epstein. He supplied them with young beautiful women who agree to sleep with them on demand in exchange for a lavish lifestyle with no strings attached. That's going to be attractive to a whole host of high profile people. Like you say, I don't think it's going to change much of anything really, he's certainly not going to resign or anything like that and will just deny it happened. The only thing that would be a game changer would be if they had video but I reckon that would have been leaked by now if they had.

Plenty of US presidents have been serial shaggers, JFK being one of the worst. The issue here is that under aged girls could have been involved and there are implications that Epstein/the Russians could well have been using something to blackmail Trump. There is evidence of a great deal of money being transferred by wire between Epstein and Trump.

As ever Trump will rubbish any involvement he has as fake news and is already gearing up legal action against Democrats with connections with Epstein. He may have underestimated his problems though. There is a great deal of pressure building against him on social media and even some of the MAGA faithful are worried about his involvement. 
Here’s hoping that he has finally used up his 9 lives and will pay the price for his actions.

As we watch a lovely bit of unity as Trump and Democrats hold hands in front of a blazing pyre of shredded Epstein documents, I'm reminded of a Beeb podcast from the last couple of days.

In it, the passing subject of Trump being a FBI informer was raised. "Like a lot of conspiracy theories, they can be relatively true" said the host. Quite a different stance from our fact checking, verifying Beeb. 

This was from the person to share what I thought was the only bit of honesty about their election coverage. That they had tried to see the US electorate through their own value system, rather than report on what was there. So, on one hand a bit disappointing to see him embracing conspiracies. Unless, of course, that was just a clumsy way of saying this one really was true....

There might be a possibility, given his request to the DoJ last week to investigate Clinton, amongst others, that there is an argument that stuff cannot be released because it is sub-judice.

Just a quiet call for posters on this thread, it sounds like this nic poster is experiencing some challenges with their mental health, and when they post like above, it might be kinder to ignore them than antagonise them. I will only post this once on the matter for this reason. 

I'm sure they will read this. I'd say take a breath, step away from this forum, and logically consider whether your quality of life could improve if you find someone to speak to, potentially a professional listener or therapist. You don't have to answer to this or any post, you don't have to feel defensive, we don't know each other and never will, just take it as well meaning advice and give it some thought next time you are feeling calm.  I can highly recommend a social media break too as it seems like it is a trigger point for you.

The voices on this forum should ultimately be an irrelevance, and the frustration you feel could just be a project of conflict within yourself - something that you can work through with the help of others. Just something to think about.
