If any of the "usual suspects" "pile on gang" or "unholy trinty" had said anything remotely similar he'd be all over it calling them a volley of names and talking about women like a piece of meat. The mask slips again.

As said before, not really influenced much by government policy (unless it's a batshit mental policy), but good all the same: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c07m4mx5759t In theory food prices should reduce slightly next time due to the lag time taking effect between energy prices and imports/logistics. Of course, it is good to see inflation fall, but it's less than expected and still leaves us with higher inflation than the rest of Europe. It was pretty much level with Europe before the GE.

This is a football forum. A large proportion on posts on here are crass and fucking stupid. You know that just as well as I do. You also know as well as I do where John Crace’s comment came from (as a political sketch writer his job it to make fun of politicians). I am sorry that you have felt the need to take things so personally and seriously but I guess, like another poster in here, you feel the need to have a pop because you just don’t like me.

This need you have to follow certain people around and have a pop at them on a daily basis is not good for your mental health.

I'm not taking anything personally. I'm just stating that I thought your post utterly stupid. That's because it was. As was the follow up. I have no issue with you. I don't know you. I rarely take issue with you. Often the opposite. I play the post not the poster. Try it. 1

You will know all about a narcissistic response. You are desperate for attention, good or bad. Like everyone else on the planet, I get things wrong. So what? I live with the fact, quite happily, that I am far from perfect. You, on the other hand, can’t handle that you are not so live in a world where you make out that you are (ref. Donald Trump). How many grown men brag about the number of laughing emojis they have had on here? I rest my case.

Fair enough, I just thought your response was a bit over the top given the subject manner. I know you don’t know me, but you did post a while back that you didn’t particularly like me (not my posts). It’s okay. I can live with that. And yes, I do play the poster on occasion, as I have been played myself rather than my posts. I do remember you “playing” a certain poster not so long ago. You've a very miserable, angry, bitter man who has some very questionable views shrouded in cloak of wanting to always been seen on what you think is the right side of the debate. The fact that you cannot stand anyone who disagrees with you or pulls you up on your comment is testimony to that. You see yourself then see me and it's everything you wish you could be. As i mentioned earlier, in a recent study of this forum and it's posters it was found that people who liked my posts were happier, more balanced, less angry and more intelligent people. You are proof of this. Edited 1 hour ago by Turkish

However it's not because Labour are in power, it's because of the cunts that live in this country and the potential for those cunts to be in charge at the next election. We had that conversation a couple of months ago. If we were 10 years younger we might seriously consider it. 14 years of austerity, Brexit and Covid have all left this country in the crapper. Anyone who thinks that Labour, or anyone else for that matter, can turn things around quickly are delusional. We like to think that we are a tolerant country but the truth is that we are rapidly turning into the country we were in the 70’s. Starmer was right when he said it would take up to two terms to fix this country. Like with football managers now, if they don’t deliver in two months they can expect the sack. Just over a year in to an even tougher job and Starmer is, supposedly, toast. Driving back from the supermarket today I noticed that the Union and St George’s flags hanging from the lampposts are now just shredded rags. If the people who put them up were so proud of their country, why haven they replaced them, or at least taken them down as they look a mess? Just the usual nationalistic gesturing I suppose. What’s next? The country needs more money which means taxes will need to rise in the budget. Starmer and Reeves will get a kicking but at some point this country, all of us, are going to have to accept that we voted economic sanctions on ourselves in 2016 and we will be paying the price for some time to come - be it under Labour, the Tories, the LibDems, Reform or the Greens. The alternative is even less public spending and we know where that leaves us.
