Are there two Romney Marsh's?

According to the BBC Romney Marsh had around 63% of votes for Reform.  No wonder there is only one mixed race barmaid in the town of racists.

Interesting that a number of people say they voted for Reform because the main two parties are “horrible”. If so why vote for a party that is even more horrible than both of them put together? Wouldn’t the LibDems have been a better choice for a protest vote for the non racists? Perhaps we’re are not the tolerant country that some would have us believe we are?

An in-depth look at the vote by the BBC showed that Reform was very popular by those who voted for Brexit and Johnson. No surprise there other than despite being proved as a complete disaster for the country, the same people still support both!

Rupert Lowe wrote a very scathing piece on X about Reform and there lack of policies (other than anti immigration). Someone here said that he was further right than Farage. Judging by his posts he is further right than Hitler.

Just read an interview with a new Kent county councillor. He said out of 57 of them only 6 have previous political experience. He has already been asked when he is going to stop the boats. He and the people who voted for him are in for a rude awakening.

They made the same stupid claims in the literature here - there aren’t specific EDI posts, hidden or not, that I can discern - but a quick search indicates there’s working groups which are probably 10-15 hours pa of people’s time from other specialisms and across the parties https://careers.gloucestershire.gov.uk/GloucesterCity/content/Diversity/?locale=en_GB

The PSED is also very different to affirmative action programmes running in the States, given the different cultural and social contexts between the countries (eg the KKK, racial segregation in living memory). If Reform want to go down that rabbit hole they will find in more southern, metropolitan and urban areas that is is met with a lot more public resistance and will drag in a lot more groups they don’t want to eg veterans at the cross-section of disability/EDI/PTSD. British people even in England value employment rights a lot more than America, we are far more of a European nation in that respect.
