It's the shows without a live audience that really grate; there is a print of M*A*S*H which is excellent, another one with an overlaid laughter track is awful.

The original run of MASH on the BBC was shown without the laugh track. I remember being quite surprised when I was in the USA and saw an episode with canned laughter - definitely much worse. I hadn't even realised that's how the Yanks watched it.

Rolf Harris.

A friend of ours has a couple of his original paintings hanging on her walls.

And yes, they aren’t anything special.

Watched the Brits for the first time in years at the weekend. I'm obviously massively out of touch with modern music and find some of it shockingly bad however i though Sombr was excellent. Never heard of him before then but downloaded his album and really like it. Some of my friends wives with teenage kids try and stay involved with what they're into but unless it's taking my kid to an artist he wants to see that i was already into i find it a little cringeworthy seeing middle aged people at gigs aimed at teenagers.

Only reason I know about Olivia Rodrigo, Sabrina Carpenter, Chappelle Roan and so many more is from my daughters. Actually like quite a lot of it and the tunes get in my head. My Spotify algorithm has detected this!

I've heard of them but couldnt tell you any of their songs. My 18 year old niece is obsessed with Taylor Swift and i mean obsessed, if anyone says they dont like or know much about her it's like you've called her a monkey faced bitch, it's quite weird. Had to endure an few hours of her and her parents making us listen to her with them banging on about how amazing she is. She seems like a nice girl and her music was okay, certainly listenable but nothing that hadnt been done 1000 times before, which of course went down very well when i told them that.

There’s a behind the scenes docuseries about her Eras tour. Does come across as a nice, kind person (of course she had control over it) but is a phenomenal talent. My daughters went but looking at it wouldn’t have minded going myself. Very much a kindness and feel-good mood to it all

Just seen that East 17 will be playing in a working mans club not far from us. How the mighty have fallen 😂

They played in the Concorde Club quite a few years ago. Alas I didn’t go.

6 Music have just played a song called "The man who seeks pleasure" by Madra Salach.  I've no idea who they are but it has to be one of the most droning, dull, god awful pieces of crap I've heard in a very long time.  It's even worse than anything Kae Tempest has released which is a very very low bar.

M*A*S*H now there's a blast from the past. Abyssinia Henry almost up there with the final episode of Blackadder Goes Forth.

Okay hands up I got it wrong about Taylor Swift. Downloaded a few albums been giving them a chance over the last few weeks when travelling and there are some cracking songs on there, very good lyrics and a feel good about it. I liked it a lot. I’m sure she doesn’t give a shit a bloke in his late 40s in North Yorkshire has given her the stamp of approval but I’m was pleasantly surprised. I think having a nepo baby bleating on about her whilst her parents who would buy a lump of shit of instagram influencers told them to do it put me off

Folklore and Evermore are massively different to anything else she's done. A bit indie in places, with input from the fella from the national and bon iver, plus others. Highly recommend if you haven't checked them out.
