Not a single one of those is a defender, goalkeeper or defensive midfielder. No wonder our defence is woeful THB and Wood are good players in this division, but that's it....

They’re allowing the players to constantly dictate which manager they want to play for, and to kick up a fuss when and throw their toys out when a new manager actually gets tough and tries to ruffle a few feathers. The owners are the absolute root cause of the rotten underperforming culture at this football club and need to leave before it shows any signs of improving Fantastic post, and explains why Eckert got the job instead of someone with more experience and stature in the game. To me, it looks like the Russell Martin players have too much influence. Why are we playing tippy-tappy again? Because it’s easy for some of the fucking lazy players on the pitch and Eckert hasn’t got the balls to upset them. 4

Had such high hopes of a morale boosting win, but all we get is the same predictable garbage. I'm pretty much convinced that someone at the club is forcing Tonda to play this style, and make these substitutions. He cannot be doing this by free will. Oxford are a poor Championship side, but even they had sussed out Saints and managed to sneak a win. Just embarrassing, considering the money spent in the summer. 3 CBs weren't needed, put an extra man in midfield, to help deliver some decent service to the forwards. If thousands of Saints fans can see, why the hell can't they. Or he could just be a crap manager and got lucky on the mini run of wins and was appoint too soon and now we are seeing the true tonda?

Yes they dont have our resources but they had heart and fight, like Norwich. I feel the players believe the hype that they are good and go out with the mindset of just turning up and they will win. Leo has the will that the rest of the team need instilledin them Was thinking about this following the Oxford game. We have a team chock full of bang average players getting very large pay packets for these league - some picking up circa £40-50k a week - well over £2m a year apiece. Clear they feel superior to most of the sides we face, the managers Sport Republic choose to pander to them, and worst of all our support. This is why Solak’s last throw of the dice should have seen Ankerson, Spors and Co exorcised from the club and a credible respected manager put in place to stop the rot, tell some hard truths about ability, and put an enema through these poundshop prima donnas!
Cabrone Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Crazy, a month ago we were playing some really good stuff and now we are all over the place. Have we been sussed? Mgr has changed tack? Players gone back to sleep? We have all seen that the team has the ability so Tonda it's time to earn your salary.

Could be but who knows, Ralph, Martin, Selles, Juric, Still, and now Tonda, all seem to have been working under a cloud. Jones was the exception but he was a lunatic. 1

Maybe read it again and you will see I did not say none of these players should start - that would be nonsense. Guess it was this line that threw me - the implication appears to be that you’d rather not start with all of them - “You won't win many games of football starting with those six players in what is a very physical league. There has to be a balance between physical players ”

Poundshop Prima Donnas - brilliant Milton. Love the name btw...takes me back to when I first watched the Saints, partly for the footie and partly watching the 'Come-and-have-a-go-at-the-Milton-agg-a-ro' crowd! Have never made it to St Mary's yet living in Canada but suspect there's nothing similar tolerated anymore... 1
