Normally I take the piss out of shit like this but actually if you read the statement there is little to disagree with. It's actually quite amusing that the club haven't felt it necessary to say anything else.

Tbf they did say a reduction would be more appropriate which is correct.

It’s not bad from whoever these people are, but there clearly needed to be some indication that those responsible for the gross failures throughout the incident need sacking or replacing.

Including myself but there has to be a balance struck given that they are going to be losing a lot more money than they predicted had they simply failed to make the playoffs for example.

That will obviously be coming but there is a process they will have to go through for that. I don't mind them taking their time now given there isn't as much time pressure and they need to do it properly (I expect over the next week or two.) what astounds me is that we haven't had any further communication from the club for the fans. I agree that we need some live interviews and proper contrition from those who aren't due to be sacked. Maybe the reason they haven't said anything else is because everyone with any authority is due to go.

i wasn’t sure about this bit. A new FAB whilst at a time when the club needs to be held accountable. Sounds like a desperate attempt to change the guard avoiding any backlash from the FAB. Parsons is running scared of them.

I would think what the fab says is the least of their problems. Turkeys voting for Christmas moment, would be like for the board. Not sure holding a fans forum is a great idea if they are still dealing with legal stuff, but laying out timeline and what they are doing to make things clearer would be helpful.

I think this role was made for @sadoldgit literally everyone he meets backs his opinion so he’d quickly gain the favour of the fanbase. Plus with his extensive career in the london media circles and prosecuting at the CPS he’s the ideal person to hold the clubs feet to the fire after their recent shenanigans

Surely, this means continuing their statement of a percentage of the FAB moving within agreed timescales?

If the club get to just change the entire FAB because it doesn't like what it's hearing, then we could just end up being represented by um...wooden puppets.

Without the FAB we wouldn't have people doing the important work of telling us to be nicer to the away fans and advocating the games at fratton should be bubble games and only attended by people who have gone to every women's team home game. LONG LIVE THE FAB
