I listened yesterday, it’s about five or six days out of date now, and there’s not much on there that wasn’t true a week ago.

They did a TSP last night

Whilst Im against Adams stance on the current situation, Id be devastated if he left. He is a class commentator and does want the best for Saints. Adam and Jo is always a good listen.

Whilst I agree with your comment, I do wish they'd concentrate on the ongoing game they watch, and leave their

old storylines for other occasions. It's not the first time (they) have missed a goal whilst blathering on about

something much less interesting (and occasionally ) non-Saints.

Interesting comment was from the legendary Kenneth Wolstenholme; .." a good commentator should say..

as little as possible and concentrate (on what's happening) in the game ."

Blackmore needs to put aside his personal views and align himself with the views of the chairman of the football club which puts food on his table. If he can't or won't do that it's time he resigned and found himself a club that does zero cheating as that would seem more to his taste. He'll be looking for a long time.

and if he did that there would be some accusing him of just being a kiss arse to the club and their mouth piece in the media. This is the point i made early, whatever they do some will complain. They've got to get the balance of reporting the facts, having their own opinion, whilst also keeping the club onside, it's a tough ask and as we can see, people will be critical whatever they do.

Agree with that. But there is a difference between balanced reporting and just repeatedly calling for the manager to be sacked for bullying junior staff as if its a fact, when in reality there is no evidence of that happening.

@FootballMartin sits in his bedroom podcasting whilst his kids and missus are downstairs having their tea...

Dunno, there's a market for it but funny the other day when he was asked a question on another online channel I guess about something that was about Saints history and he got flustered and pulled someone else over, saying something like 'ask a real fan'... Pretty much summed him up for me.

He's constantly trying to get sponsors and make this a full time job, I guess he wants to be the new Robbie from Arsenal TV, a bit sad really. I guess the EPL dream has really fucked that up now.

And I'm obliged to say that he doesn't eat babies.... apparently.

That's harsh.  I like his content and hid dad seems like a decent bloke as well,

I think there’s another reason some of the commentators don’t like Tonda. He’s not a cheeky chappy having a bit of banter with Adam Blackmore . I reckon Sky and Talksport wouldn’t like him the EPL he’s no fun they’d rather have another Harry Redknapp or Sean Dyche a bit of banter give the a good story.

When will we hear of Blackmore being sacked? It's like he's deliberately trying to get the club (and fanbase?) to turn on him?

He seems to get joy out of saints having bad managers, so no surprise he's anti tonda

Not long ago he was being referred to as ‘Brownmore’ because it was perceived he wasn’t challenging the club sufficiently.

Talk about walking a tightrope….

I don't want him to roll over for the club. But what he is doing right now is ignoring all the actual evidence to repeatedly push a negative narrative, hammer the club publicly, and specifically and directly attack the manage over bullying offences which are seemingly un-evidenced. If Blackmore wants to keep pushing this narrative he needs to back it up with actual evidence that shows it was Tonda, otherwise he needs to drop it.

Personally think we are very lucky to have Adam. Clearly gives a shit, has pretty much got the balance right for me in terms of challenging the club and managers - I recall some prickly interviews with Martin - and is a very good commentator. And Jo offers genuine insight for me. Going Home is a great show, win or lose. I haven’t entirely agreed with Adam on some of the things he’s said over the last few weeks, but respect his opinion.

I don't mind Adam on the whole. I think he's quite a decent commentator and usually a fairly balanced head on most things Saints.

I do think he was quite quick to cast judgement re: Spygate but I think quite a few have been guilty of that (Myself included initially). His most recent tweets in response to the messages from Dragan and Tonda were quite warm and I suspect he's cooled down on the situation with a little more time having passed.

All this to say that when I look at the absolute weapons that the North East have for editors and journos, I actually think we might be quite lucky to have him 😂

Completely agree with the comment above on the inside references during commentary. I get not every game is going to be interesting from first kick to last but c'mon now, people are listening for the football not what you Jo had to lunch on the way to the ground.

Agree, he’s a decent lad and I like his enthusiasm. Works really hard at his content, and you can’t fault his commitment. Love hearing from his Dad, always talks so much sense.

Absolutely this, love his commentary, think his views are balanced and well thought through. Don’t always agree with him but I very much enjoy his input whether I agree or not. I hope he continues to cover Saints long into the future.

going home with Adam and Jo, highlights with their commentary, and the Football Martin Channel for that matter, are now very much part of my post game enjoyment

Some see the original transgression as a minor offence that has brought about a disproportionate punishment, that the allegations of bullying are over-egged and want to move on with preparations for next season.

Others, such as Mr Blackmore, want to continue beating themselves with sticks while the club goes about some sort of self-immolation in order to satisfy an angry mob of accusers who still think the punishment handed down wasn't enough.

It would seem that the former are now the majority. What is it that the latter minority want?

I think there is still some middle ground here.

The fact is that, in the modern workplace, if any employee were to raise a complaint of bullying after being pressured into taking actions that are against industry regulations, having voiced their concerns and discomfort in taking such actions, then that complaint would undoubtedly get upheld in any disciplinary proceedings and the guilty party would expect to be dismissed for misconduct.

So in legal terms, what's happened could easily be interpreted as bullying, but only if that employee decides to lodge a complaint about it.

In this case, if nobody has raised such a complaint, and everyone is happy to continue to work with Tonda in full knowledge of what went on, then I don't see an issue with him staying in post.
