Pamplemousse Posted Thursday at 12:39 Posted Thursday at 12:39 (edited) Games to be played weekend of 8th August so will be our first competitive game of the season. There's a fair few I've not been to before so hopefully one of those away, or of course our near neighbours... Edited Thursday at 15:53 by Pamplemousse
die Mannyschaft Posted Thursday at 14:06 Posted Thursday at 14:06 Leyton Orient always a good away day and easy to get to.
Patrick Bateman Posted Thursday at 15:01 Posted Thursday at 15:01 Bromley. Completely differently club to the usual. 1
Pamplemousse Posted Thursday at 15:42 Author Posted Thursday at 15:42 Not been to Colchester before so happy with that

Soton7 Posted Thursday at 16:14 Posted Thursday at 16:14 We’ve got one priority this season- get promoted. Everything we do has to be geared towards finishing in the top two and removing any distractions. I would completely fuck off the cup- not only because the EFL are a bunch of wankers, but it keeps the first‑team fresh. Our FA cup run last year was great, but those two fixtures either side of the Man City game hampered us and it was one of the reasons we didn’t go up automatically. If we go out early this time, the players will probably welcome the extra rest, especially after how brutal the final three months were with the fixture pile‑up. I wouldn’t mind Tonda picking a team for fitness reasons and adding some nippers in for experience. But the focus has to be the league. 3

(On the old LNER mainline route for the anoraks on the Transfer thread). My little sister was born there in 1955. And my mother took three driving tests there before giving up driving. My dad worked for the railways so we often went there or through there. LNER stands for 'Late and Never Early Railway' 4

Our cup run last season went hand-in-hand with our league run, definitely gave the side confidence and momentum. We got to a cup semi final whilst going months unbeaten in the league. Chances of long cup runs are slim, but let’s try and win every game. I’d expect Colchester an ideal chance to play our first choice 11 together before the Watford game. 2
The Wyvern Posted Thursday at 18:04 Posted Thursday at 18:04 Skates going to West Ham same day. Though dare say one of our fixtures is moved for tv.
davefizzy14 Posted yesterday at 12:13 Posted yesterday at 12:13 (edited) I'm happy with the draw, a good tie before we get our first league game underway 😊 Edited yesterday at 12:13 by davefizzy14
Draino76 Posted yesterday at 12:16 Posted yesterday at 12:16 Kinda good for me as I'm based in Southend.

They'll all be moved for TV. Either the Friday, Saturday or Sunday. West Ham v Portsmouth probably moved to the Sunday prime time slot. I reckon we'll be on the Friday or Saturday. Hopefully find out next week.

Its a clever move to have the first round as the "season opener" , usually this is the forgotten midweek game largely ignored by even fans of lower league clubs, I think this time clubs will play stronger line ups like they do in the final pre-season , crowds will be higher on a weekend. I've seen Skates asking if West Ham will give them up to 9000 like they do in fa cup allocations, hopefully they move to the Sunday on sky so we dont have to mingle with them around Waterloo and Liverpool Street

I love a cup run but absolutely hate what they've done to this competition, teams in Europe join in round 3 and kept apart in the fixed draw to ensure as many 'big' teams as possible make last rounds 6
sandwichsaint Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Do they still have park and ride, and will it be foggy?
