I am right. That’s the problem. You can throw insults etc, but I am right and the fruits of their labour are obvious.

Multiple mocking responses don’t make what you’ve said incorrect because it’s all factually correct and most rationale people acknowledge and understand that.

They struggle with abstract thoughts and comprehending data/statistics to a level that allows them to accurately assess the country. Unfortunately it’s the same for a large proportion of voters in the UK. It’s what has allowed us to end up with the dire situation we find ourselves in:

The graph shows that the state pension has increased by £37 in that time (risen from £203 per week to £241 per week).

Meanwhile the average salary for the UK has increased by £79 per week since 2024 (11% increase on £37430 which was the average UK salary in 2024).

I wonder if your high IQ can figure out which one of those abstract statistics equates to which group of people being "richer" in real terms?

Yes, the triple lock is a destructive and terrible policy.

But also, comparing raw gross wages against the state pension is folly as it ignores tax deductions, living costs, accumulated wealth, assets, etc. 

Workers currently face some of the highest marginal tax rates in history, the most expensive housing and childcare costs and have a smaller % of the nations GDP than at most times in history. 

Plus it’s the market that sets the rate for wage growth, based on productivity and profit. For the state pension, the rate is set by how much the politicians can get away with stealing politically. 

If you don’t like the term stealing, then I apologise, but that’s what taxes are.
