Nah, I enjoy reading the desperate stuff they post trying to denigrate us - it's pathetic. All we did to them was give them the chance to appear in a play-off final even though they didn't win one of the two semi-final matches - they still haven't thanked us for that to this day. Even when gifted a spot in the final against Hull they still managed to completely bottle it 🙂

Their fans still pop up commenting on any saints related social media post,  very odd. Unfortunately they are about to go 5 points clear at the top of the table so we'll see plenty more smug posts from them

Was at the game last night and watched Mubama closely during the pre match warm up, his finishing was shocking.  He must have scuffed at least half of the efforts he had during the shooting session, and missed the target on numerous occasions.  No opponents, no pressure and he struggled to put a decent effort on target. The point being, if I can see this during a short warm up session, surely the manager and coaching staff can see it as well.  I want the guy to do well, nothing stuck to him during the match and he was nothing more than a passenger last night.

Just watched the extended highlights back. For all their domination of that first half all West Brom really had to show for it was the penalty and a shot from distance that Peretz comfortably tipped over the bar. It felt worse than that while watching it live I guess because we offered so little ourselves but they weren't peppering our goal and Peretz wasn't pulling off a string of worldie saves.

I would love it - love it - if they choked again and we played them in the play-off final. I honestly think that's probably their worst nightmare.

I wouldn't rule it out. It's got a feeling of destiny about it.

They strengthened really well in the summer and will probably go up automatically - what I would like is for us also to go up automatically and then get them on the opening day of the Premier League season at SMS. That would be tasty.

They've got to hope Lankshear doesn't pick up a bad injury. If that happens they're back to the side they were last season.

I reckon both sets of fans would find that a bit tedious, especially as Sky will be all stupid about it. Nah, I'd prefer we get Arsenal (or whoever wins the title this year) and get back to giving the big teams an occasional bloody nose.

There's been talk about the James Bree incident in the 2nd half when he went down clutching his head and ref stopped the game. Did he get a bang on the head? Anyone have a clip of the incident.

He wanted to get up and carry on but the ref insisted that he went off for a check.

The way I saw it he probably didn’t really have much of a head injury (perhaps none) and tried to wave off the physio from coming on.  The difficulty comes though when they kick the ball off for a player injury, the player then remains on the pitch and we have to give the ball back - don’t think that’s right

Yeah, I get that but did he actually get a bang on the head in the first place because there have been suggestions that he didn't.

And hey presto Lankshear hasn't trained and misses tonight's game at Wrexham plus he's a doubt for the weekend. Rumours that it could be a hamstring issue. What a shame.

There did seem a lot of noise coming from that end of the ground afterwards, and booing Bree. Had no idea at the time what it was about

Apart from having a better GK and CB pairing.

No idea about the rest of their team but they’re probably a few more players from being what ‘arry would refer to as down to “the bare bones”

I've just watched the recording.  Their number 11 smacks Bree on the back of his neck with a forearm smash from his left arm. What on earth are they complaining about?

Much ado about nothing.

Worth also remembering that this is Bree, who has had a head injury recently and often wears a head bandage. Nothing gets in the way of a good moan though. 😜

Do you have a link to the recording?

Oh what might have been, but that point looks very useful after all the midweek games have concluded.

I'll forgive Dobbins miss. He's a good runner who make things happen. Absolute starter when Larin is side-lined. No need to rest him. I think we will have learned quite a lot from that game. First and foremost; Go hell for leather against PNE, full tilt.

Lets finish this period of games without regrets.

Sorry. I was using catch up on Sky on Virgin media.

Try this at 5:45

Cheers and from watching that, firstly their number 7 fouls Bree just before the incident and agree, their number 11 does make contact with Bree's head with his leading arm. Conclusion, we should have had a free kick for the first foul on Bree or the second but we got neither and some have accused him unfairly of cheating. Enough sour grapes to make a few hundred bottles of sour wine.

Good post and nails the need for continuity in the academy coaching team.

People forget these are young boys. world at their feet, bursting with talent, and that feeling of immortality youth brings.

However they aren't the finished article, and need to be nutured very carefully. There are so many examples of what happens when you don't do that.

I've no doubt that Mubama is a talented footballer. We've seen glimpses, and his pedigree is solid, but clearly Saints is the wrong place for him atm. He needs to be sent back and another decent forward purchased.

Agree macca 155 ...and the sad thing is that when " that chance " comes , they suddenly discover the real

difference between " boys football " and " the man's game ". Very few ever get a debut like Alan Shearer did.
