"3 years ago Mr Lowe approached me,i am overseeing the reserves also, everything is perfect"

"the boys are focusing on the football not on other matters, small minority protesting"

"the true fans are in the stadium,no doubt we are capable of staying up"

"lots of battles before the war is over"ref staying up.

are the fans supportive within St Marys?

We don't see it in stadium, fans are great in the stadium, but we need to perform better to get fans in stadium

To be fair Nick, you have spiced that up a little, it was more like

" There is a small minority of fans who protest outside the stadium, we don't see that. The fans are 'fine' inside the stadium, the true fans are the ones that are inside the stadium and are loud, which was the case on Saturday ' ..... or words much closer to that effect than yours.

Very.

Why? Apart from being ground that has been raked over 100 times or more on here.

We knew in April last year that Lowe was trying to come back. It is known that Lowe approached Wotte previously (the three years ago referred to?). Is it unreasonable that he might contact him in April and say "In a few weeks, I should be in control at Southampton. Not sure what will happen regarding the manager but are you still interested in coming here if there is an opening?"

Except, he said "I was asked to take over the academy in April"

is this big news..?

crouch has asked some manager to take over weeks ago...

At least Crouch was honest and upfront about it;)

I very much doubt if he had got back in and then sacked Poortvliet he would have said it was for any other reason apart from I think he's sht and hopefully the new bloke will be better.

sure he was..unless he asked this person the day before the AGM...

maybe lowe saw pearson (like some of us do) and thought...hmm, what an average manager and in his warped head, thought Jan was better...lol

Not really tdd, except confirmation of what we all knew anyway that Pearson didn't stand a chance and lowes and wildes meeting with him was just a whitewash.

well

wotte wont stand a chance IF crouch comes back

we knew that with lowe back then and know this of crouch...

two edges of the same sword..

I'm going by what is posted on here as, like LV said, we can't listen outside the UK. Gemmel said that Wotte said he was approached in April to run the academy not replace Pearson.

Not being pro-Lowe but it seems people are reading more into what was said to try to prove their points.

But Poortvliet and Wotte were already lined up way before he even met with Pearson. In fact he was quite open about his thoughts of Pearson quite a bit before the season even ended!!!!!

Dead man walking and Pearson never stood a chance.

And besides, even if Lowe did act and think as you suggested (which he did not), then why the bllsht about money issues etc etc etc.

The whole appointment of Poortvliet was a done deal before he even had his feet under the table and once again the fans were bllshtted to.

I think you are probably right there TDD. It seems to be a given that Pearson was a dead man walking upon the return of Lowe and Wilde as I'm sure it was reported at the time that L&W called for a meeting with Crouch to make their displeasure at the appointment clear.

that is fine..not disagreeing with you

the same can be said about crouch..he has already lined up another manager....seems that should he come back wotte's days are numbered..cant see the difference myself..

the deal with this new manager has been done with crouch without his feet under the table..

im not saying lowe was right etc...just that we will bash lowe (rightly so) and AGAIN, crouch is doing (or done) the same bad things...

im sure I read somewhere that at the AGM crouch and Lawrie would not be in the room when jan came in....

talk about not giving him a chance (see the similarities..?)

Absolutely, and both of them were pretty poor to go public/or at least not be candid with their thoughts on the manager when both managers had a relegation battle to oversee.

The only difference being that with Pearson, as it was fairly obvious Lowe would get back in in a couple of months then Lowe's lack of support for Pearson was much more damning as he would soon be in a position to back up those words with actions (which of course he did), whereas Crouch could be dismissed as hot air and having no chance of executing his plan.

PS plus the very fact that Poortvliet was fcking sht and should have been ran out of town meant that at least Crouch was probably making the right call LOL.

you are right....but one thing lowe did (for his wrongs) was keep this news that he was lining up someone else (which was wrong before anyone calls me a farking luvvie) away from the news and away from the relegation battle...whether that was intentional I dont know...

crouch has fueled the flames about a new manager, as he does when we ALL should be doing what we can to stay up as the very survival of this club depends on it..

after we know either way, then let ths lowe-fest begin

Kind of makes lowe look a bit of a tit though doesn't it, with all the bull****e he came out with. I think he geniuinely believes we are all so thick we'll just believe anything he says

he is a tosser! why doesnt he just shut the fook up and let the football do the talking?

he was asked if protests distract players, he said they are insulated within the stadium and the support is good in the stadium, ffs what wrong with that? its complimenting fans!

It was an open secret around St Mary's and everyone including Pearson had heard that both Lowe and Wilde were not overly enamoured by him.

I think Wilde mentioned it to the SOS boys in the Spring and even as far back as that Central Hall meeting there was talk about Lowe & Wilde bringing their own men in.

Whilst Pearson was fighting the relegation battle he was aware that he could well be replaced, but maintained a dignified silence (at least in public).

I really don't want another lowe thread, but you are suggesting the fact he didnt let anybody know about bringing in a new guy during a relegation battle as if he should be praised for it.

Can i just remind you he called an ******* EGM right in the middle of our relegation battle. And if you really wanted i could cut and paste his own words for the of need for stability and togetherness during delicate times.

Sorry mate, you cant have it always and what lowe did then was disgraceful and he quite cleary put his own best interests ahead of the club.

Nice objective supposition that one. What a shame every one else is so partisan ;)
