Salisbury - for a quid !

BBC story states that Salisbury are up for sale - for £1.

Not quite Saints story - I know, but another club in trouble and they can be bought for considerably less than Saints.

A great shame, especially as former Saint (and 1976 FA Cup winner) Nick Holmes is manager. Nick has done a great job with getting his side into the Conference League - and holding a midtable position - Last seasons cup run entended to two games v. Notts Forest before being defeated and this season despite crippling debts and (like Saints) having to loan out / sell players to keep the wage bill down.

Hope someone can step in and help them, too.

the situation there was a hell of a lot worse than saints'. They loaned out their whole 1st team and played the reserves/youth. A few years ago they nearly folded and if a buyer is not found soon i think this time they will collapse.

If we're liquidated lets just buy them and start in the conference.

That sounds funny Adrian, BUT..if we had a few million, instead of an overdraft .... a Prem. side might use them as a nursery side and feeder for new talent. Half a hour on the motorway and the whole of the West Country as scouting territory.....

Ah well ......just dreams.!
