SaintRobbie Posted 1 May, 2009 Share Posted 1 May, 2009 I assume - please correct me if I am wrong - that the now infamous Doncaster Train Picture is still up in the boardroom? May I suggest it is removed to a more suitable place - lavatory for example - and Lawrie Mac with the FA Cup in 1976 is put up in it's rightful place once more? Whatever happens over the next couple of days I do not want my Club to die, or be resurrected, in the final boardmeeting under the shadow of the prime example of Lowe's pettiness and foolishness. It's ... well .. embarrassing. Anyone else want the Donny Train Picture removed to be replaced by memories of the happiest day in Saints history in living memory? Sign below. Choo Choo! or pride? ottery st mary Posted 1 May, 2009 Share Posted 1 May, 2009 Just heard from Doncaster and they state if we are going to take the piiiisss out of their lovely picture of the steam puffin billy and the wonderful gesture then...they want it back now.. Two minutes after passing this message to St Marys...Leon and Lawrie were seen outside the ground loading said picture onto a lorry which is now halfway up the M3 north bound. OldNick Posted 1 May, 2009 Share Posted 1 May, 2009 Do you realise everytime you contact Mr Fry that you are costing the club money? He is justified is starting his clock everytime he gets another timewaster on the phoine or by e-mail. If you believe that that frigging picture is important that's fine but many people have spent time collecting or donating tickets to help keep the club trunnung. If i had thought it was just to fund stupid requests of the administrators time i wouldnt have bothered. My Fry doesnt care what his fees are charged for, he is a business afterall but perhaps the fans could use some common sense in what they are doing in making the club funds being wasted. Rant over i thank you

INFLUENCED.COM Posted 1 May, 2009 Share Posted 1 May, 2009 If LM has been allowed access all areas with his pal Crouch I would suspect the Picture has already been removed/relocated thats why a picture, such as that which SR posted, should represent the day the team won the cup

Mentioned Oxfam as a worthwhile charity....The sooner he gets this out the way he can concentrate on dealing with the matters in hand. God hope Rupert does not come back....I can just see it a picture of The Flying Scotsman presented to Rupes from York City after they have made their first appearance at Totton Rec in The Conference and wacked the Mighty Saints 6-1. My point of course being that it's pretty poor form to put a gift on ebay. And would be considered a big **** you to Doncaster. Frank's cousin Posted 1 May, 2009 Share Posted 1 May, 2009 I know the risks in posting this, but... has this not really been taken out of all proportion. We all know Lawrie and LOwe dont get on, in fact cant stand each other... that their business. Dont think I would get on with either of them either. What some see as Lowe slurring teh club by removing a picture of our greatest moment, if you remove the media spin, great copy and hysteria, its more likely that Lowe simply did not want a pic of Lawrie staring at him in the board room. - childish for sure, and pathetic undoutedly, but I doubt this was because he did not respect the achievement of 76 - just couldn't stand LM. You lot seem to be forgetting the fact that the picture was never in fact the ownership of Rupert Lowe. It was a gift to Southampton FC. Just a question ... Why would Doncaster want to gift Rupert Lowe/SFC a picture of one of their trains? Nothing to do with Saints capitulating 1-2 to Doncaster, I'm sure.... Now that's downright silly. It's not as if Rupert Lowe would allow himself to be entertained by one of our key Championship rivals is it?....
