  1. It was overturned by an independent panel. The Premier League tried to justify the red card. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  2. After losing 9-0 last week, if you'd have offered us a one goal defeat away to Man City, we'd have snapped your hand off. Hopefully some confidence can be taken from the creditable, albeit losing, showings this week. It's still an uphill struggle: Newcastle winning has cast us slightly adrift. But at least we didn't fall to pieces. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  3. Five at the back and three midfielders who can't pass forwards certainly limits our attacking threat. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  4. Our need for a strong midfielder? I think our need for a midfielder who can actually run is a greater priority. Adding a broken Wanyama to the plodding brigade of Romeu, Hojbjerg and Ward-Prowse doesn't address any of our shortcomings. And STILL none of them pass forwards. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  5. This is just nonsense. Loads of teams on smaller budgets than us have somehow managed to accrue decent midfielders that are better than our options. Aston Villa signed John McGinn for just £2.8m, for goodness sake. Just because our useless recruitment team are in the habit of throwing £15m-£20m at any old garbage, regardless of talent, doesn't mean that we're operating at the maximum we possibly can within the current market. It just means we're really crap at recruitment. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  6. I know they don't want to get thrashed, but there's nothing to be gained from just hiding everyone inside our own penalty area and waiting for our medicine. Rather lose 6-2 having a go than timidly accepting 4-0 having not laid a glove on the opposition. God know what the league game is going to be like, when it actually matters. 7. Away to Fulham in the league cup (won 1-0). It was during the period where Hasenhuttl was playing left back lucky dip - Danso was LB the game before, but against Fulham, bizarrely, it was Hojbjerg's turn. Danso also got moved into a back three briefly during the Bournemouth game, where he was having a nightmare at RB. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  8. We've won two games - both against 10 men - which we could quite easily have lost (Brighton dominated us until their sending off, Sheffield United would have had a penalty if this weekend's version of VAR had been in play). Unless we can play 8-10 more games 10 v 11, I don't see a lot of hope. We haven't looked a good team in any match this season, apart from against a League One minnow. And even they had chances. Can't defend. Midfield can't pass forwards or track back. Very little quality chance creation. Throw in a feeble mentality and a squad that apparently don't give a hoot, and it all adds up to a pile of crap. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  9. Clasie has been utter rubbish in all his loans - we virtually had to give him away. Fair crack or not, he just isn't a very good player. Neither is Prowse, but that's a separate issue. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  10. Just a cheery reminder that Yoshida - who was absolutely abysmal - is still the best centre back at the club by a distance. Usually, you'd say it can't get any worse, but then our next two games are Man City away. Hey, at least we're in the record books. Hughes was sacked with just 9 points amassed by the end of October, by the way... Not that a new manager will make a massive difference. This is a wretched squad any way you shape it. 11. How bad has Valery regressed this season? Just terrible. 0-3. This is going to be 10. We're awful. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  12. This is going well... Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  13. Bank the point, move on. We played okay, by and large. Their penalty was a terrible decision, but we rode our luck on the two disallowed goals - Gunn made a poor misjudgement for the first and Cutrone's offside was by accident not design after a real defensive mess. Seems like we're reverting back to last season's grimly pragmatic 5-3-1-1 for the foreseeable future. A bit more solidarity, but not much going forward. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  14. Wolves often play a lot better against the best clubs. So, given we're absolutely crap, we might have a chance... Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  15. He started against Brighton (LB, w 2-0), Fulham (CB, w 1-0), Man United (LB, d 1-1) and Bournemouth (all the positions in the world, L 1-3) As disastrous signings go, he's been handy enough. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  16. For what it's worth, Danso was pretty good for Austria at the Euro U21 finals in the summer, while Tomori struggled at CB for England. One of them is now a starting CB for a Champions League club and has just been called up for the seniors. I wouldn't write anyone off on the back of a few poor outings for the kids. (Hudson-Odoi and Foden are miles above that level, to be honest. It's a bit unfair. They're better than some of the players picked ahead of them in the seniors.) Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  17. That'll be a morale booster for the lad. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk

    Ross Wilson

Can we dig into our Red Bull links again and get whoever recruits for Salzburg? They're doing a hell of a job. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  19. And our new star striker can't score (or do much, frankly). Happy days. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  20. He's been hidden in a back five whenever he's supposedly played well. In a back four, he's looked garbage. No pace, doesn't mark properly, loose in possession. Obviously the caveat is that our defence has been horribly exposed time and again by a midfield that isn't fit for purpose - either going forward or tracking back - and I think lots of functional centre backs would struggle when having to face three on three counter attacks repeatedly. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  21. No we don't. Our midfield of Romeu, Hojbjerg and Ward-Prowse doesn't have a lick of pace between them. Once you break the press, that's it - the middle of the park is wide open and the triumvirate of slugs can't get back. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  22. The way we're playing, we'll lose them all - but beat Everton at home, naturally. It's all going a bit Pellegrino. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  23. I mean, that's total horse crap - he was terrific for Norwich on loan in the Championship two seasons ago and has represented England right through the age groups. Sometimes there's a middle ground between being a good young player going through a difficult spell of form and being a non league no hoper who should learn another trade. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  24. There'll be no youthful pep from Slattery - he's just the latest in a line of plodding midfielders who can't run for toffee. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
  25. We're in trouble, chaps. Measuring ourselves against the likes of Chelsea isn't really an accurate representation of where we're at, but our glaring basic shortcomings will be exploited by anyone. The midfield can't run and get killed in transition every time, unable to get back and protect an absolute clown show of a defence and a keeper who appears to be a hologram. Chelsea aren't even playing well. Tomori's having a nightmare. Grim. Sent from my F3311 using Tapatalk
