  1. Needs to go 442 and start Gabbi / Carrillo. He won’t as Les wants us to play 4231. I think this will be his last game and we’ll lose 1-0.
  2. Would you rather continue with MP or take a punt (might not work, but at least we can say we tried) with Silva?
  3. I’m past the point of giving a sh!t now. If I’m honest, I think we deserve to go down because of our absolute arrogance at board level. I’m not sure if a protest would make any difference anyway tbh. If we do protest it’ll need to be boycott and hit them where it hurts ££
  4. In order... 1. The board - not good enough in transfer windows, not good enough managerial appointment 2. The manager - not good enough, not his fault I guess but probably should step down. 3. The players - I think a number are massively underperforming
  5. We were the better team, but never really done enough to score or win the game - they probably looked more dangerous on the counter. Should have started with 2 up top as we looked much better once we changed. Ultimately not good enough against a very very poor stoke team. We will go down under MP, I’ve given up hope. Plan for next season in the championship now.

    Redmond

    Agree
  7. No, I think what he’s saying is if you’re coming from said area, it would be better for it to be called tonight, rather than potentially getting here after a 3/4/5 hour trip for it to then be called.
  8. Cant say I’m surprised, way to good for us and exactly what they need. Hope Arsenal, Chelsea or City come in for him though! Also I don’t think he’ll go this year, unless we go down.
  9. Where is that stats wally arguing he’s not good enough for top 6
  10. Nail on the head - it's making me fall out of love with it, if i'm honest.
  11. Yeah - we had a penalty (if I remember rightly our end, we were sat directly behind the goal) and you could hardly see the edge of the box (that could have been due to the beer though!). As others have said, Leeds was a cold one.
  12. Burnley or Stoke... I swear they are the coldest places on earth.
  13. Textbook Puel that....
  14. Just goes to show that the only thing that matters to the FA/PL/Football clubs is £££
  15. No worries! glad to be wrong on this one
  16. Very happy to be proven wrong on this one! Sh!t time, but so be it - Much better than Monday night
  17. It always does (unless you fill whole allocation, which when it's a standard trip to Burnley, you won't) as they pack you in at the back of the stand.
  18. Still pretty sure it'll be on the Monday night - hope I'm wrong.
  19. Let’s get this clear, I said he could play for anyone in the top 6, which IMO he could (maybe other than City), you clearly disagree, that’s your choice.... I put my house on it that he will be sold to a top 6 team (or CL club in Europe) in a couple of years (come back and say sorry later). Also, The black box is essentially one big stats room, so yes they do use them - the black box will identify a target and then they send scouts to go and watch them play. As I’ve said, dangerous to judge a player on stats alone.. something you don’t appear to recognise. Was he brought just to score goals? You know this for a fact do you? So are you saying if he sets up/plays a big part in 10 goals from now until the end of the season (likely to keep us up), but doesn’t score any, he’s sh!t..? Delusional if so. I’d say he was brought in to improve the team and to help us collectively scoring more goals..... I’d say he’s achieving that. I never said he set the world alight, just that he has improved us and is a much better option than Gabbi or Long as a solo CF. Was he worth £20m on the balance, No, but if he helps keep us up, then without a doubt.
  20. What is with your obsession for stats? Roberto Soldado Vincent Janssen Ricky van Wolfswinkel Andreas Cornelius Jozy Altidore All had 'stats' that looked prolific in their respective leagues before joining the much tougher PL. stats can be very deceiving. Why have you written Carrillo off already, despite him being instrumental in our last 2 games (2 assists)? Whilst he is not prolific, If you can't see what he has brought to the team then that proves you are completely deluded. He is the focal point we have been missing all season (other than when Austin, our best striker, has played). He brings our midfield into play with his ability to hold the ball up or win flick ons. He will massivly benefit from having someone like sims playing on the right and someone like Gabbi or Boufal in the 10 who will run off him. FWIW, I watched Ghoddos against Arsenal and he was pretty impressive (although Arsenal were terrible that day) - quick, good on the ball and pretty direct, from the little I have seen, I'd say he is easily their best player. Given that he would likely only command a relatively small fee, I think he'd be a good signing, definitely worth the risk (looks like he can play anywhere across the front 3 and would certainly add what we are missing with the ability to play off Carrillo / Austin). I would still much prefer Sisto or Promes, but then again I have seen more of them. One that could potentially go the way of Boufal and he just may not be suited to the PL.

    Pellegrino OUT

Just a hunch, but if the summer is anything to go by, Silva would definitely want to come here. That being said, the Everton interest may persuade him to stay out of football for a short while.

    Pellegrino OUT

In fairness he tried and the 'someone decent' rejected us at a late stage, by which point MoPe was the only option. However, he should have admitted his obvious mistake earlier and MoPe should have gone 3/4 months ago. Unfortunately our board to too stubborn to admit their mistake and will leave it too late.
  23. Morne Morkel set to retire from international cricket - No doubt will be coming to England as a Kolpak player. I wonder if we would be interested in him? (is there a limit on Kolpak's??). I'd say an opening batsman should be the priority but I do think we are a bit thin on bowlers, especially one of Morkel's ability.
  24. No chance. A draw would at least keep Stoke around us. If we lose, we are as good as down. I can't believe that the board don't see this as a must win. On paper, i think the board would have taken a draw away to Burnley (obviously the performance was shocking), but If we fail to win Saturday and MP isn't sacked, then I officially give up (I'll refuse to put in anymore time or money) with the club until the 2 clowns (who clearly don't really give 2 sh!ts, especially about the fans) running our club are gone.

    Redmond

Tadic is best out on the left, IMO. Boufal is similar to Redmond (all be it probably better than Redmond out wide), so yes, probably needs to play centrally. Not getting a pacey wideman was criminal, but then so was not getting a CB. We've not adequately replaced Mane or VvD. From what we have , I'd like to see a front line of: Sims -- Redmond/Boufal -- Tadic/Boufal Austin / Carrillo A combination from 2 of Lemina, Romeu or PEH should provide a solid enough base for us to essentially play 4 forwards.
