All the Valladolid fans are convinced he's destined for greatness. This could be an excellent investment.

He's strong in the tackle and usually shows good commitment for the team (although I thought he lacked professionalism as captain publicy stating he wanted to leave while we were still fighting for guaranteed safety) but personally I'm surprised he became the coveted player in our ranks. His decision making and inaccuracy of passing always left us vulnerable. I guess his short contract alerted the bargain hunters. With 1 year left and as a player that I've often considered frustrating, I'm very happy with this deal. Hopefully our replacement can add a little more creativity and assurance to our midfield.

I'd have prefered more yellow on the away kit but it's a smart shirt. I like it.

Despite not getting the result we deserved, I enjoyed that. Great tempo to our play and some brilliant passing. Ancelotti did a good job second half dealing with our system but the consequence was a very boring game with minimal chances either end. I think we've got to appreciate the performances our players have been putting in during a small period of time with minimal rotation and accept the drop off in our performance was inevitable. We still looked the most likely winners at the end!

2 mins added time? With a water break and all those fouls, cards and VAR check? Sure.

As you say, a great striker is like gold dust which is why we'd only be losing him for the sort of money that would hugely benefit the club. Obiously, every buy is a gamble which is why I think we're all in agreement we'd prefer him to stay.

No doubt he's a world class player so logic tells me there will be interest. Danny is enjoying his football at his boyhood club and suits our system perfectly so I'm hopeful he may be in less of a hurry to leave compared to others that have left in the past. Frankly, it's amazing we have such a player in our ranks and whatever happens will be a win-win for all parties.

Anything is better than this years kit so I'll take it although I guarantee the sponsor will look 10x worse on the real thing.
