Right at the start there, when you asked someone else to get you a ticket you don't qualify for. Good luck getting your pram in too.

It's not a protest unless you're outside protesting.

Club Wembley is a Wembley ST, people have the chance to buy specific games and have to buy others as part of the deal. Flogging the non-essential buys at a huge profit rather than letting Wembley do it probably helps fund the rest of it.

Thankfully I was working with someone who knew someone who worked at the Gloucestershire FA so I got a pair at face value, as they were about to send them back.
-
Nope, because it happened right in front of us and we saw the guy running across the box...

The fact ambulant fans will be in the back row of the lower tier would be nice to consider, but I'm not expecting miracles and I'll happily stand myself.
-
We've already got a white kit they're not selling, would be a surprise if they decided to produce a yellow one after that.
-
Bertrand, Romeu and Davis don't fit that description, that's over a quarter of the first team.
-
We will clearly start with Davis and Clasie if fit. PS your geography is terrible, it takes well over an hour and a half to get from Anfield to Wembley.

Aaaaaaaaaaand Newport's 12th signing of the window brings Skate reject Ryan Bird to Rodney Parade.

We should try playing against more crappy teams.

Funnily enough I thought we played the exact same way as in numerous games we've lost this season, except that we took our chances. The success or otherwise of the rotation this week will be seen if we look knackered on Wednesday, not today after most people got a midweek break... thanks to squad rotation. Oh, and "reduce sideways passing" and "attack more" is a bloody terrible idea when two goals up and trying to prevent an inexperienced centre back pairing having to do much defending, because it leaves them potentially exposed to the counter without a shield in front of them. Like that time we were 3 defenders against 5 attackers. Fortunately Leicester were utterly woeful at pretty much everything today, and most of the team managed to get a rest whilst still out there.

I'm quite pleased with the £60 return flights to Manchester and £50 for two nights hotel we booked in early December. Nothing like a bit of planning. We'd have gone even if we'd lost the first leg 6-1... but not booked it if we were still in Europe because I didn't have any leave left in that eventuality. Didn't go to Arsenal in the previous round due to work commitments and keeping leave for Europe.

Probably the best signing they've made in ages - shows they might have worked out that they will get further signing keen younger players who've been successful lower down in the pyramid that League One mercenaries.

Best: Brighton goal at Withdean followed by raising the JPT. Worst: The penalty for shirt pulling conceded late on at Arsenal this season. Or maybe the penalty for shirt pulling conceded late on at Arsenal in 2013. Red card against Sunderland last season in the 1-1 wasn't great either. Assist for Van Persie. Seeing his name on the subs' bench for the Europa League games this season was a disappointment too. Not many lows tbh, though the value of my signed Fonte Matchworn only yellow away shirt probably just went through the floor. He still should already be on the banner.

Alex McCarthy would be first choice for U23s if not injured, then Harry Lewis and Stuart Taylor, after that Parkes and Alex Cull who are both U18s.

Strange that, because Lee Grant has been superb by all accounts, to the extent that he's getting a permanent deal from Stoke as a result, yet there he is with the same shots/goals ratio. The use of "last 22 shots" is almost certainly chosen to make Bravo look as bad as possible though - and of course there's that complexity around where the shots are from and how pressurised the striker is, etc which makes these kind of things pretty useless for analysing goalkeepers in isolation...

4 photos of bridges and/or old train line paths from my old walk from the Park and Ride to work in that lot.

Yes, but if your opinion is about something that can be empirically measured, then it can be wrong. For instance, "I think this 50p piece will be enough to pay for that Saints pie I want".

RE: Newport v Portsmouth on Boxing Day - Plymouth fans managed to break the temp seating the week before in the FA Cup replay, so they weren't allowed to use that block. The fact they hadn't sold enough tickets for that to be an issue was the interesting bit. As for the match, yeah, County went 2-0 up and completely deserved it, then fell apart as they have been all season. Enjoyed it hugely for an hour though! Still, County have signed 9 free transfers/loans so when I go to Fratton in a couple of months they might be up for a 4th successive win at Fratton.

I find that when we lose I generally don't come on here for a few days to avoid the knee-jerk tedium of trolls deliberately overreacting and people biting. Dunno what I'm doing here now tbh.

I had the pleasure of listening to Radio 5's coverage of the Saints v Liverpool post-match. The word "Southampton" was mentioned precisely once in half an hour. It was astonishing, yet so predictable.
-
Tbh you could always watch the Northern Premier, that's got a lot of the characteristics of ye olde association football.

Who's going to pay anything for Martina when they can get him for nothing in 5½ months?

We do have platforms in the Chapel (and away section) but I don't know if we use them, most of the wheelchair users I've seen are in Block 8/9-ish at the front. But my point is mostly about away games, it doesn't matter where you go, ambulant seats are either next to the chairs or as near to the exits as possible which is useless when you almost always have to walk up steps to get into the seating areas... At Man U we could see some steps so we took the disabled entrance, they wasted half an hour of our time shunting us around the innards of Old Trafford, three different assistants... then we ended up at the bottom of the steps anyway.
