  1. If we had anything about us we'd immediately appoint the Wrexham manager. No other football club has ever been promoted before and they've done it because Wrexham Wrexham Wrexham vision vision Wrexham vision. But typical our club won't do it because we lack vision or something.
  2. Rough night sleeping on the pavement on The Mall but we've made friends with a lovely family from Kettering and some absolute reprobates from Canada kept us laughing through the night. What a Blitz spirit down here and we've got a great spot so excited my facepaint keeps running
  3. We signed Lambert for a big fee on the back of him being League One player of the year and top scorer in the division. Which was also the division we were in at the time. So everyone I remember was delighted with that. It certainly wasn't a "visionary" signing. It was a League One version of City signing Haaland, the best available striker at that level and we got him because we had coin. Rickie Lambert also never kicked a non league ball in his life. What has any of this got to do with us as one of the richest clubs in the second tier signing a 28 year old from Non League with no decent League record to speak of? Honestly this is not going well for you.
  4. Give it a rest. Just some bloke from a club on a TV show. Unlike Vardy he's already played hundreds of matches in the Football League and he'll be 29 next season. I think Vardy was winning the Premier League by that age, not still twatting about in Non League. Oh what a visionary you are.

So we are going to continue to appoint utterly shit managers and waste huge amounts of money on players that barely even make the bench? That's a bit of a shame to be honest.
  6. Silverlake Stadium sized mentality.

100%. Absolutely ridiculous for anyone to say it was a panic decision. They were falling over themselves to say how much they had monitored him and the due diligence they'd done, and how his failure at Stoke was a good thing actually because he had learnt from it etc etc etc. And hoe they nearly gave him the job four months before. Absolutely clear-eyed focused strategic decision on their part. And what an absolute fucking disaster. Ditto the summer window and absolute failure to solve the glaring gaps and ditto January window ("everything we are doing is focused on staying up") where they spend fifty plus million on several players of which one has become genuinely central to the squad and two of them barely feature even on the bench. Fuck up upon fuck up.
  8. I would describe this match for us as miniscule and utterly without consequence. Looking forward to it though as I predict Forest will shit the bed and relegate themselves.
  9. No idea why any Saints fan would want that. It's only 18 months - 2 years to wait for the "where did it all go wrong for Brighton" articles. And the forum experts will already have moved on to the next "oh why oh why can't we be like them" club just like they quickly forgot about Leicester and Swansea etc etc.
  10. Jesus wept.
  11. Just putting it out there that our first eleven next season will have six players in it we don't know yet.
  12. You seem to be massively over estimating our specialness. Why won't City allow him to go to another Premier League club? I think an incredibly likely scenario is City buy him back and immediately loan him to Palace or Fulham or Brighton or whoever. Second most likely is City buy him back and put him in their squad. There's a potential theory that we lend him to a club like Palace with an expectation that we can profit from selling him the following season to a CL club or he plays a second PL season for us when we go up first time. But not that likely.
  13. I didn't realise that the only two available managers on earth were Frank Lampard and Ruben Selles.
  14. Do that one about how everyone else on here was saying that Jones was brilliant and you were the only person saying he wasn't, the only person saying it. The lone voice, the only guy who could truly see, the only only one. It's so good that one, do tell us all again please 🙏 🙏 🙏
  15. Still, I hope we give our manager's job to Jose Fonte because he was a great player for us, the fans love him and he is definitely a winner or something.
  16. Fonte not hugely rated by Claude Puel though, and it is my understanding that he was very much a World Class Manager.
  17. We're only being relegated to the Football League Championship, we're not being relegated to 1983.
  18. The only thing we have in our favour is this a pressure tie for Forest, whereas it isn't really for us anymore. If you are fighting to stay up this is a three point banker, every Forest fan knows it. 3 points on a silver platter. Right there lads. Just take them. If the roles were reversed there would be plenty on here convinced we would choke a home game against the worst team in the league. "Typical us" etc etc etc. That's all I got.
  19. I know I need to stop replying to these things but jesus christ. 32 points is obviously not going to be enough to stay up. Why are you wasting time putting up charts? If we were in the position of Leicester Leeds and Forest right now there is no way you'd be predicting we'd only get 2 points or less from the 4 remaining games. And we need all 3 of them to do that to keep us up on 32. It's just a ridiculous over reliance on other clubs to lose themselves to our safety. No club deserves to stay up on 32 and rest assured we won't. Don't call yourself an optimistic supporter when the only "optimism" you show is that clubs you don't support will all collectively fail just for our benefit.
  20. So what? Three teams go down, not one.
  21. A scenario that involves us winning all four of our final games is not a "glimmer of hope".
  22. The club cannot do it, and no manager we would want would take it, until we were mathmatically down. Let's say we are bringing in Patrick Viera. If he came in tomorrow and then did a load of press ahead of the Forest game he has no choice but to talk about trying to stay up and how it was still possible and keep focused etc etc. Equally the club leadership have to say similar stuff. Neither the new manager or the club can say what you or I (or the club and Patrick) know what he is here for. He can't say "I know we're down, I am here to build for the Championship". No one can say it. So because everyone involved has to perpetuate that lie, in that scenario the relegation will be on him - he will still be the guy in the chair at the point of relegation, and he'd be on record saying he would try to keep us up. So it's on his CV. So after relegation is confirmed, maybe, but definitely not before. But really I don't think will happen. Honestly I think we just wait until the Summer.
  23. We could just get guest managers for each remaining match, a bit like on Have I Got News For You. I suggest Victoria Coren Mitchell for the Forest game.
  24. Well, that's not me saying the season is finished, and it's not me saying "off you go lads and treat every game as a friendly now, I don’t care" and it's not me saying that I absolve myself of commenting on all future games this season. I said we were nailed on relegated, which I do stand by and here we are in May and fuck my old boots we're bottom of the league. Nailed on relegated. As I said back then I don't think Jesse Marsch would have changed much, we might be a point or two better off. Not sure what gotcha point you're try to score against me, but you've blown it sweetheart. Thanks for trawling my posts though. All the best x x x
  25. That isn't what I said at all but thanks for trying, always nice to get fan feedback ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
