Now close your eyes and imagine we got a point and a clean sheet away from home and Russell Martin was the manager.

Get big boy on FFS.
-
Well done Ramsdale.
-
We've had a shot. Sort of.
-
Going well for Van Nistelrooy, then.
-
Jack Stephens never needs to play again. Wood has really stepped up.

So after Bournemouth when many wanted him gone and you were saying he should stay, you were doing that in the expectation that in the subsequent 10 games you wouldn't have been surprised for us to gain 4 points. Clear. Basically your going in position is this is the worst Premier League squad there has ever been. Personally I don't think that's remotely plausible and it points to a weird affliction suffered by on a few on here that they will trash our playing staff to absolute shit just so they don't have to admit that Russell Martin might just be a mediocre manager pitifully out of his depth.

This is what I said on this thread Ipswich - 2 wins, 32 goals conceded, far less than a point a game, lost 4-none at home, pretty underwhelming. That's where I thought we'd be. I say it right there. We may have been the Prem relegation zone two years ago but Ipswich were playing Burton Albion and Fleetwood Town. And now you are saying that Ipswich Town are "superstars" for achieving that meagre aim and it's unreasonable for me to hope we'd do as well as them and I need a "reality check" because it's so unachievable. Jesus wept. Jesus fucking wept.

Honestly what the fuck are you talking about.
-
Yeah, that squad of players were the reason a middling bang average Championship manager got a team promoted.
-
Seems like a huge leap forward already. Goals conceded in three Serie A seasons at Torino - 41, 41, 36. Not quite 60+ every season in the Championship and L1.
-
You want the whole season to play out before you decide that Saints fans expecting us to do as well as Ipswich (2 wins, tonked 4 nil at home this afternoon) was an unreasonable impossible dream? Ok then.
-
100%. You can see the Martinettes on this forum positioning themselves on here already. All of a sudden the poor results and shit football that they have been brushing off and disregarding all season...all of a sudden they are going to be outraged. Defeats will suddenly be a bad thing after all because their boy isn't in charge. We are getting relegated we all know we are, and that is on Russell Martin. Russell Martin has relegated us before Christmas. Russell Martin. Just a few divs on here will be working overtime to pin it on the new guy.
-
We just wanted to be in the mix. You know, like Ipswich. Or are we going to pretend that was some unreasonable impossible dream.

We need to win 8 in half a season. We might have a flurry but we're not going to do that.
-
You started with a lie and made out that something had actually happened that day when it hadn't. There are no scenarios of points deductions that are going to keep us up. Everton have already been done last season. Leicester have got away with it. And Man City will need not a points deduction but an immediate expulsion from the league to benefit us. That is not going to happen.

Thanks for all the lovely DMs and kind messages thanking me for the clues I gave earlier in the week. I'm amazed how many of you got it right first time. Obviously I need to be more cryptic next time 😉 Let's hope our man travelling North from Split can do the job here at his new home port.

Everyone who hasn’t replied to this thread loves rape.

Feels absolutely nailed on.

And that's a news story from 9th December. Great thread.
-
Where are you getting this guilty thing from. It's the kind of thing that would make national headlines but it isn't anywhere.
-
Juric is only here six months and we're going down anyway so we need to be careful so we should only be giving him a transfer fund of maybe £75 million or so

Someone on here few days ago said that the next manager would be from split so it looks like they are spot on. I've been there, not as nice as Dubrovnik but an interesting historical centre.
