Forest don't need Dyche. They have assembled a ragbag of players on big wages and short contracts. They need a big personality boss with experience of making a team from players they haven't signed. It's a budget version of Real Madrid or Chelsea. I am not a big fan of Benitez but he probably is the right kind of guy. Failing that, Big Sam. A mercenary squad needs a mercenary boss. That's not Dyche. He's s a proper squad builder and much Iess of a fit. Anyway, fuck Forest. We need some teams to be in the shit so long may it continue.

I think we will surprise a few people and lose fifteen nil.

Interesting to read passages like the below and to square that with the common view here that there is absolutely no one, anywhere on earth that could conceivably replace Ralph. Nobody at all. No one. ..... They explained Hasenhuttl’s man-management and communication skills had long been a problem but would tend to exacerbate and become even more insular when form nosedived. Just like now. At this point, the mood in the dressing room had turned to scepticism, with Hasenhuttl described by sources, who have asked to remain anonymous to protect their jobs, as having “no relationship” with his players. Some members of the squad had hoped he would leave at the end of last season and viewed a potential departure as having a deciding influence on their own futures. They shared those concerns with Southampton’s board.

The Atlantic believe he won't be sacked "imminently" so that pretty much rules out today then. Hopefully the club are just holding a bit back from The Athletic and he's getting the bullet at 9am.

It was obvious Adkins knew his time was up from the post-match interview after the Coventry match on the last day of the Championship season. Was just a matter of time.

I'm not asking for Dean Smith. Just making the point that the Thomas Frank comparison to Selles is moronic. Frank was at Brentford for two years, not five minutes like Selles, and was integral to a club on the up, not a club in the shit. I know there are some people that want to go on and on about Selles being some bloody messiah but the Thomas Frank comparisons are ridiculous.

But Dean Smith did a good job.

Come back to me one hour after the first defeat under the new manager.

Ralph's. The Ralph fan boys have had years of blaming anyone but Ralph and delving deep into history for excuses. So the exact same will apply once he's gone. Anything shit that happens in the next two full seasons at least can be blame squarely at this current manager. If Puel and Les Reed can be blamed for 2021 drops in form then fuck me the next two years are Ralph's fault if it goes wrong. 100%. I know the Ralph cult are desperate for a new manager to fail so they can launch into the shitty "be careful what you wish for" routine. But sorry, the excuses you've churned out then can be applied in the future. The Ralph shadow will cast long and dark over this club. We need a strong new manager to really stop the rot.
-
Needs more time to get his ideas across. Also not his team all Claude Puel's fault.

I mean, our Premier League safety is in the bag so a two and a half month "interim" while we faff around deciding who our next manager might be is absolutely no problem at all.
-
Yes but if Wolves do that who could possibly replace him. My understanding is there are no managers anywhere in world football who could take on a job at a middling Premier League club. No one at all.
-
Tell you what lads, that new assistant manager must be shit hot. Shit hot. Oh I hope he takes over next, he'll be brilliant.

That line up is interesting.

Except there is nothing anywhere that says they are "standing up for the authorities". They've explained what they've done and why. You're just making that up in your head so you can get cross. And you're getting cross because they're saying that Qatar is a fucking terrible place for a world cup. You don't agree, fine. Qatar is great. Good for you.
-
What are they "pretending" they are doing? They've done what they've done, and explained it. Where's the pretence?

I had "Bizarre Gardening Accident"

They are the boys who will stop Zelensky's little game They are the boys that will make him think again.

Doing local media was madness. She'd have been better off doing 10 mins on GMTV or the Today programme rather than six consecutive interviews with good journalists with nothing to lose and with more local knowledge than she will have. And her excuse "it's all Russia" was batshit insane. It's like absolutely no prep, no workshopping of answers happened at all. Plus she genuinely hasn't worked out that people look at all their bills. A few quid on income tax helps no one if your mortgage goes from 800 quid to 1000. Honestly they're coming across like a team on The Apprentice struggling through week 2. Plus she is a dreadful communicator trying to doing the Boris blustering/brazen it out act but not realising that what Boris did took some genuine, unique talent. He's a lying shit but he was pretty good at it.

I don’t see what is wrong with a gesture. I don't know why the benchmark has to be pull out of the competition or shut the fuck up with nothing in between. At the end if the day it is the world cup, which is the pinnacle of competition. Denmark as a nation and the players have earned the right to be there. FIFA has put all the nations in this position. Denmark's gesture is a reasonable response, and worth doing.

The only thing that is worse than selling our best players is, er, our best players staying. Fucking unambitious, layabout wasters.

It takes a rare, insightful and incredibly knowledgeable football mind to identify that Pope made an error last night. Most casual fans wouldn't have seen it but you really know what you're talking about. You're a professional coach or something right, you must be.

WE'RE GOING TO WIN THE WORLD CUP
