Won't mean much. Relegated teams win some games in a season.
-
This manager, this style, this "making average players better", this "courage", all of it exists entirely in your imagination. Russell Martin is not "our only route to success". I'm pretty certain you are on a wind-up.
-
You deserve a special medal for being completely above it all. Although I feel we’ve been here before. It’s like going round and round in circles.
-
Honestly the "we're bloody awful but that just means we're innovative and we will prove everyone wrong" thing is just the laziest forum trope going. Maybe we are bloody awful. Not everything is the start of a redemption story. The "everyone said Sadio Mane was shit and he proved everyone wrong" myth.

What a load of bollocks. We conceded 63 goals last season with one of the most expensive squads/wage bills. Under a manager that always concedes 60 goals every bloody season at whatever club. We're currently conceding 3 a game no bother every match. There's no dynasty or style to embed because he's a fucking shit manager.

I don't want any of these guys at all. But the Russell Martin fangirls on here need to remember in three years time your guy will on this list of deadbeat yesterday's man manager lists too.
-
They were only one more pass away from springing the opposition wide open.
-
Pretty bloody risky to think that the yo yo strategy is in any way sustainable. Not least significant discomfort in the customer base.
-
We desperately need to keep a lid on things on the first half. If we are five down or something mad then City have a record to break and can go for it. As long as we can get to 80 minutes only three or four down then they probably will ease up and play the game out. They aren't going to kill themselves to break a record but they will given half a chance.
-
But he's the only reason we are in this mess in the first place.
-
Take me through Russell Martin's tactical masterplan.
-
You might want to check the classified results from yesterday.
-
Better achievement than Martin on promotion with a much tougher task. Unquestionably better record in the Prem than Martin. Fucking sneer away but Russell Martin isn't fit to lace his boots.
-
Good things happen: all thanks to Russell Martin. Bad things happen: Russell Martin is blameless.
-
What I worry about is the sheer scale of Scar Tissue that Russell Martin has inflicted on this team that the next manager has to sort out.
-
Give it up on the Vincent Kompany bollocks. Vincent Kompany was a world class international centre back. He has little bit more going on than he relegated Burnley.
-
My hopes aren't up. Our recruitment was poor and we've pissed away too many early, easier games. Absolutely zero early season momentum. In all probability we're going back down. As I said before, we'll see next spring with ten games to go whether we have a replacement who is a) able to keep us up (unlikely) b) nicely placed to take us into a Championship season or c) not worth persevering with. All depends on whether our Russ replacement is a Nathan Jones or a Gordon Strachan.
-
Those people must be feeling pretty silly now and no mistake.
-
Thank God we left him in charge for this game, he's really proving all those doubters wrong. Let's give him the next game and the next game and the next game and the next game and every game forever because he is such a fantastic manager.
-
Well a step forward at least, the other day you were much more comfortable trashing the players. Let's see, if we win today, a full throated support of the players that deliver that win.
-
This is his PR team working their bollocks off.
-
Hahahahahaha OK then. We're on one point no wins and jack shit goals because of our players vs the rest of the league and poor Russell Martin is completely helpless. But we got promoted last season not because of our players vs the rest of that league but because Russell Martin is a Pep Guardiola elite level genius. Right you are then.
-
Also worth saying that the players loving the manager is not a benefit in its own right. They all loved Steve Wigley. The England team loved Steve McClaren.
-
Lord knows why anyone uses official club sanctioned interviews as evidence that the players all love the manager. I've yet to see any interview like that with any player at any club in the world say anything different. What do you think Tyler Dibling is going to say?
