Come on Saints, say no.

Calm down.

I didn't see QT but there's nothing in Hislop's quote above that shows he doesn't understand how our parliamentary democracy works, just a comment on the two candidates. And suggesting Ian Hislop, editor, popular historian and political commentator of 30 plus years standing doesn't understand how the UK arrives at a PM is rather fanciful, don't you think? Something in me suggests he might just know that.

Let's all salute his indefatigability.

Brave visionaries: not the vast majority of working age (under 45) tax paying contributors to the economy. Or the vast majority of the population of the capital city whose tax take funds the rest of the nation by a blinking long chalk. Dem people ain't no visionaries. Pensioners and C2DE dins from Skegness: there's yer visionaries.

Not true - Cameron won the MPs vote and I believe I am right in saying then won the members vote and became leader of the Conservative Party. In the one before that (excluding the Howard coronation) there was 5 votes between IDS and Ken Clarke so absolutely nothing like the gulf between May and the rest this time round. Great myth though.

The people who have decided they are experts on Eric Black and how useless and terrible he is and he single handedly relegated Villa etc would probably wet their knickers with joy if Jason Dodd was reappointed.

What form did this racism take?

And so they should. That England team deserve to be humiliated and the Welsh quite right to laugh at them. Come on Wales.
-
I want Wales to win, I also have no issue with Bournemouth winning and quite frankly Portsmouth winning is neither here nor there for me for at least five years, they can't hurt us. Come on Wales.
-
Good on them. I think we should have no part of it - utterly ridiculous.

If we'd stayed in, or if Osborne had announced an Emergency Budget on the Friday after, wouldn't you still be waking up today with nothing changed?

His campaign was transparent from the start - stick a marker down. Fair play, he's raised his profile a bit - I knew he had taken over from IDS a few weeks ago but that was about it. I liked the look of him and could well be a future leader. As it stands the Labour party have given up on me so a centrist one-nation Tory talking about investment in infrastructure might be as good as I'll get for a while. His main problem is May will need to build a unity cabinet so needs to spread the posts around so not entirely sure he'll get a job much better than what he has now.

I think you are slightly mental. All kits only need to be "alright". I stopped buying or wearing them at least 20 years ago so I don't really give a monkeys. "Alright" is 100% fine by me.
-
And she will. May was the softest of soft remainers anyway. Anyway, a Brexit negotiation lead by a Remain Prime Minister seems like a reasonable approximation of the will of the people to me.
-
Well, it's alright. Reminds me of the Pony kit which looks better now than it did at the time.
-
That Palace kit is terrible.

It won't happen but if both the Tories and Labour new Leadership both went to the nation and both said - actually, no, we're staying in...The SNP and the Lib Dems already there. A sizable amount of the electorate already agree with that position. How the frig would that result in a majority UKIP government? It won't. They gained one whole seat in 2015. They'd get some seats buy not a majority. General elections aren't about one single issue.

This is one of those posts ostensibly making a clever point but actually making no sense whatsoever.

"Errr, I am thinking, er, where iz zee statue zat looks like zee, how do you zay, Smurf?"

If only they charged everyone €5 a ticket they'd have filled it every single week and sold loads of hot dogs and merchandise in the process. #buildittheywillcome

You don't half write some utter drivel.
-
Mainly people weren't ready for such forward thinking earth shattering unique innovation of a plain red kit which Nicola invented and everything you know. Massive in China.

The Patrick kit was stripes and as long as any new version ensured it is still visibly stripey then I think the fans would love it. Worth remembering that most of the objection to the two Cortese Premier League kits wasn't that they weren't stripes but was because they were both utter effing abortions and two of the worst kits worn by any team in world sporting history, including when Coventry City wore brown.
