Behave yourself. Boris completely ballsed up his chances of being PM because the Brexit campaign went completely against his actual plan. He won. He's been in tailspin ever since his face-of-death routine "celebrating" his "victory" last Friday morning. He probably should have run with that "I'm backing Remain" article that he wrote but never published back in the Spring. Oh well.

What link did Sammy Lee provide to the club's history? About three months he was here during the arse end of Branfoot. I've had longer dumps than that.

After much soul searching today I have decided that CB Fry approves of this appointment.

This might be my all time favourite post on this forum. Blimey.

Is it just me who has no interest whatsoever in having the same manager for five years?
-
What's brilliant is that Saints do all their business in private so when they do announce their new manager today it will be a complete surprise. Not that I know it is being announced today. How would I know that?

Give it to Big Sam. Quite frankly England are the standard of Sunderland. And they need basic organisation. He's earnt it. Give him the job.

I remember the great days when Gary Pendrey took us to the FA Cup final.

If you're going to tell one, tell an old one.

I think they are desperate for him to go before any contest - then at least they can have a proper, adult leadership contest between two or three actual contenders - as you say I think there are some perfectly good candidates who could take on Boris or May (or Crabb, who I thought came across great on TV today). Once Corbyn is out, never again will leftie-loons be "loaned" votes to "broaden the contest" so at least we should be able to move forward with a proper leadership team, with all the decent able MPs back on the front bench taking the Tories on. Agree with you on Eagle - even as a stalking horse it's all a bit odd. She was awful in the Brexit debate on TV and even though she has served in the cabinet under Brown she's never made any impression on me. If we actually get to a JC vs AE contest, it's lose-lose. I'm not much of a Cameron fan, but enjoyed his gag earlier on in the week welcoming the new member for Tooting ("you'll be in the shadow cabinet by the end of the day") and his "For goodness sake man, go" was bang on. If JC stays on there will be weeks and weeks of mockery ahead - how can he possibly portray himself as a potential Prime Minister with the way he's behaved. The dustbin of history is beckoning old man Steptoe, let's hope it isn't too much longer.

I worry about the plughole in his shower.

While there might be nice rational and Les Reed-y reasons to let him go - his value never higher, his age, one year left - clearly we would be utterly freaking nuts to let him go. He's great, we love him (except Batman) and just for Christ's sake let's be seen to keep a player now and again. If all he wants from us is a one year extension give it him now now now now. Even a two year extension means we'd still get a fee next year. Do it. Don't be a p rick about it Les. I vote for Pelle to Remain.

Is £20m the new £10m? It's brilliant that all these available players are twice as good as the ones we were linked with last year.

I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlords.

If we'd done the transfer business that Leicester had done this time last year drips like you would have blubbering about lack of ambition all summer. -
The glittering career of Lawrie Sanchez is enough for any club to run a mile from Northern Ireland managers. I think most people on here have been healthily underwhelmed by Puel - we can see his record. No one's swooning about him as Samuel claims. The only whiff-of-exotic swooning on here comes from the dins getting all wet over some hipster no-mark showing remarkable adeptness to relegate some two-bob club while barely scoring a goal a game.

Nathan Redmond Joins on 5 Year Deal - Official
CB Fry replied to Saint Garrett's topic in The Saints
JWP admitting he tapped up Redmond while they were on international duty there then. Utterly despicable. About time the FA came down like a ton of bricks on this kind of behaviour. -
Dave Bassett?

Batsh it more like.
-
They've certainly not got any interest in being elected. That's only what careerist red tory Blairite scum would want.
-
What an utter helmet.
-
I'd take him over Puel. Would outclass Steve Bruce in managerial turncoatery. And may result in him being kneecapped.

If Boris calls one the Labour party will not be allowed to bottle it. Even they're not that stupid. What do you think their coup is about? Threat of early election.
