There's an element of political protest and boycott in Rio going on. Some protesters in Rio have followed a strategy you will be unfamiliar with: a critical part of their protest is to not to scuttle off down the box office and start handing over cash to buy the very thing that they are protesting about.
  2. CB Fry and Wikipedia say yes please.
  3. I have researched him on Wikipedia and it's a yes from me. I don't want us to sign any too old ex-Man U or Arsenal Mexicans.
  4. "We've accepted the offer son, and think you're better off pursuing your career elsewhere". That's why.
  5. Supersaint's list is the Guess Who board of our big summer signing. Although the correct answer might not be on it.
  6. Isn't he physically similar to Pelle?

    Get behind the dressage FFS.

    Claude Puel

Retired as a player at the perfectly normal for the 70s not-cut-short age of 33 after a generally nondescript career in Scotland. Never accused of being "very, very good". You seem to be describing Brian Clough in your post.
  10. Just about shades Pilchards as the worst ITK of all time.
  11. I have looked him up on Wikipedia and can only conclude that he looks effing shi te.

No freaking way is Koeman 9th best manager in the world.
  13. That doesn't say we are relegation favourites you mentalist.
  14. I love desperate ITK neediness season.
  15. I'd suggest that having a first team squad that are Premier League standard is a pretty basic requirement. Would you recommend we went out and signed lots of players that aren't Premier League standard?
  16. Glass ceiling just out of shot. Actually no. IT'S NOT THERE THEY'VE SMASHED IT
  17. If the club viewed every single young player as the next Harry Kane then we'd never release or move on anyone and we'd have 400 kids in academy training every day. Maybe Sam Gallagher is not the next Harry Kane. Maybe that.
  18. Good point Charlie.
  19. You're not really making much sense. You said he was signed to shift merchandise. He's nowhere near a big enough name to be primarily a merchandise selling signing. Ronaldo, yeah. Gerrard to LA, yeah. His performances on the pitch are not "incidental" they are critical to his star quality and his merch-shifting potential. If he and United both fail they are not going to be selling many Pogba commemorative oven gloves.
  20. Promising keeper attracted by coaching set up is not quite the same as CL-club-signs-keeper-and-personal-coach-on-a-two-for-one-swoop.
  21. Brilliant. This will be our forum one day though - spend thirty odd million on a player and forum goes into meltdown.
  22. If we sign him then I have no doubt one of reasons he joins us will be because we offer an excellent pathway into the elite clubs. Would be a great move for us and him.

  24. There's been some weapons grade disingenuousness on this thread but I think you've taken gold. Well done.
