I'd avoid this thread if I were you. The THIS IS SO UNFAIR nutcases haven't even got going yet. The fact is Pompey are Royally fu cked for a decade, if not longer. Read this thread over the next couple of days and you'll believe Michel Platini has stepped in to give them a bye into the Champions League final.

No. You're right. It is just the same as the Boston bombers. Just the same. Thanks for not letting me down.

OldNick and SaintRichmond will be overjoyed as it gives them another three years to foam at the mouth ranting on about the Football League's "beloved Portsmouth" and them getting away with it and other such bilge. Start frothing, boys.

Thank you and goodnight.

All the good posters won't be posting any more. And no wonder.

Why persist with likes of Fox when we could blood youngsters?
CB Fry replied to captainchris's topic in The Saints
Shaw is living proof that if you are good enough then you are good enough. He is not living proof that all young players are good enough. -
Can people stop calling L2 "the bottom of the league pyramid". It isn't. The Pyramid only starts to take shape below the Blue Sq Prem. Where, with a fair wind, that cesspit of a club will be falling into this time next year....

No one is going to go on an unofficiall blog site to read a neutral, factual report though. No point. The BBC or a newspaper site can do that. I think it read pretty well, well done, but as someone else said you need to find a voice that will give people a reason to read you. If you're fifteen this must be as good as it gets to be a Saints fan in your supporting lifetime. Find a way to bring that enthusiasm and excitement through to what you write. If you are going to games with mates, what happens? What a great age to be going, home and away. Even if you're not going, what happens? I spent a lot of my youth waiting for some "goal music" on Radio Solent (ask your dad). Or looking at the TVs in the window of Radio Rentals (er, ask your dad again) next door to the fruit and veg shop I worked at on Saturday afternoons. That's how I got Saints as a kid. What about you? Think about how you talk about football with your mates and get that out in your reports. Don't be hemmed in by the generics of the rudimentary match report. And if you wouldn't say it out loud, don't write it. (The opposite isn't true, though: don't write down everything you say to your mates: world of pain). Have you ever called Saints "the men from the coast" or did you think that might be what a journalist might write? Be you. But don't worry -keep going, good luck! I'll follow you!

....what am I a "supporter" of, exactly? Do tell.

Do the yo-yo stuff again. Go on. We all fell for it, we did. You're, like, the king of trolls.
-
Dalek new troll routine alert. Dalek new troll routine alert. Probably not as hilarious as the Yo-yo policy stuff. That really was quite brilliant.

Clearly what has happened in the last week could not be less like North Korea. Good effort.
-
Indeed. And we might get to play them in the first league fixture there.
-
They move in for the start of the 2016-17 season. Some things may happen between now and then. Just a thought.

Arf. Won't match up to the revolution that started yesterday, obviously.

Up there with Tianamen Square in terms of epoch defining significance. Well done them.
-
Care to run through all the other stadium location "options" we had at the time?
-
What you've described sounds absolutely nothing like what I was talking about. But well done on getting chippy anyway. Have a pleasant evening.

A death party for someone last in power twenty three years and a mere FIVE general elections ago is not a "political viewpoint". Just vile behaviour by utter scum.
-
Apple, presumably. Slightly over egging the "world's largest" tag, though.
-
At least you gave the Sports department a ruddy good laugh when your little complaint came through. What an absolute joke.
-
This is spot on. Once MP has actually built a team, then we'll know whether this has been a success or not. This time next year would be a good time to review.

Thankfully being bankrolled by the slush fund of a dead Swiss bloke is far more noble and sustainable than terrible old Bolton. At least Bolton had Sam for eight odd years who took them from mid-tier two to seventh and four seasons of top eight when he left. Sustained, repeated success however you look at it. You seem to think its easy just to keep going and going and going in the Premier League top half season after season. Well we'll see how easy it is soon, won't we? Anyway, be interesting to see Kevin Nolan for the Hammers tomorrow. He's a product of the Bolton Academy which obviously never existed.
-
Four seasons top eight. Four seasons. After a good few seasons building the club up to that. Sam actually took Bolton up in the first place. Sounds pretty long term to me mate. Maybe what happened after was down to mot having Sam in charge? Just remind me what your expectation for Saints is then? If four seasons in a row in the top eight is just a flash in the pan, what does success look like for you exactly? I'm not on a high horse. You're the one belittling four seasons top eight as "short term". Fu cking love to see the reaction on here if we do that.
-
How valiant of you to praise Big Sam for "keeping Bolton up". Yes, he did just about manage to "keep them up". Just. Eighth. Sixth. Eighth. Seventh. One season equal on points with the team in fifth, who happened to be European Champions Liverpool. But yeah, to you that is clearly "not progressing". Love to see the response on here if Poch delivers just one season to that level. I bet no one calls that "not progressing" or describes it as merely keeping us up. What a joke.
