Eh? It's a match write-up.

LOL at the self appointed forum truth police lapping up unsubstantiated rumour purely because they want to believe it. Lapping it up, no questions asked. Probably coming from someone that lives next door to a friend of a steward. Lets see how forensic and trusting they are when its a rumour they don't like.

Academic Study on the Effect of Changing Football Manager
CB Fry replied to dvaughanwilliams's topic in The Saints
Thank god Blackburn stuck with Steve Kean for two seasons. He got better, and better and better. Here's a few names for you: Rioch out, Wenger in. Ranieri out, Mourinho in. Gray to Strachan. Hughton to Pardew. Gunn to Lambert. Lee to Megson. Hutchings to Martinez. Perrin to Redknapp. And the previously mention Hoddle, Ball and Gordon. -

So it's Portvilet that should still be in charge now then? Because we were flying before Wotte came in and ruined it? If sticking with the manager is so great why are you dismissing all the people who had so little time to bed in and become the next Alex Ferguson. We should not have changed the manager when Poortvilet was in charge, right? Or is it just possible that changing the manager is the right thing to do? Sometimes? Just maybe? -

What about them? They should never have been sacked? Wotte should still be in charge now? Think how wonderfully stable we'd be if he was. -
They made a gesture which suggested shoving Nigel out the door.

I will do nothing with your answer. This is a pointless forum for rumours, argument and speculation and is of no consequence whatsoever. I'm glad you now understand that.
-
Any plans to answer my question? You do have an answer I take it?
-
What do you plan to do with the answer you get?
-
The good news is if Swansea win, they'll go into the top ten, instantly qualifying them as one of the league's megaclubs that we had no right to get anything against and I can't believe how unrealistic people are and did you know in our first eleven games we have played etc etc.
-
I bet he can barely remember playing for them.
-
Fair enough, your opinion. But Hoddle is still infinitely more ill equipped than the wee man. Personally, I'd love it if Gordon stepped in, although Nige sorting it is still my preferred route.
-
Well some of them have sold a few match programmes in the last couple of years. Must have made us a couple of quid.
-
Why does Strachan have to get lumped in with Hoddle all the time? Hoddle left us and did nothing but fail. Strachan left us and took Celtic into the last sixteen of the Champion's League twice, as well as winning the league three times in a row - Scottish League easy etc but no other Celtic manager had done that for decades. Hoddle and WGS should not be mentioned in the same breath.
-
It's not like Wes Tender to be pathetically, embarrassingly wrong about something. Oh, sorry. It is.
-
I think the Wee Man could be just the job. I think he'd keep us up. Not fussed about the Boro thing, he came to us on the back of a relegation first time. I think we need dull organisation right now. Strachan or Curbs are my choices to do that. Strachan, of the two, would have the fans onside more quickly. Would be nice if Adkins could turn it round, obviously. I think he's off to the jocks though. Money for old rope there.
-
Based on my opinion. I'd like to see you list 100,000 different reasons why Saints needed to take out a loan, especially if you are completely discounting the idea that the family bankroll has now stopped and we need to start being self sustaining.
-
Correct, especially the point about the family funding. That's over. The key point is that Cortese has yet to prove himself in the top flight as a CEO. So far, we're struggling. He might turn out to be the Dean Hammond of club administration. Lets hope not.
-
My point is about Wonga surviving in the big league, which Lowe did do and Wonga is yet to do. We have no idea how Lowe would do in L1 with loads of free money, so not relevent. Lets see how Wonga does in the big league. He's got six seasons of mainly solid finishes to beat. Sent from my GT-I9100P using Tapatalk 2

Wonga Cortese has mometum, feel good factor, managerial stabilty, wheelbarrows full of cash (from wherever) and so on. Oh, and a 32,000 seater stadium. And he's been here two years so is all settled in. You really think Lowe inherited some superteam/club? Would you swap now for 1997? Gaston, or Mickey Evans?
-
Well he was better than any other player we've ever had. And I'm the bitter one?
-
Money hasn't been "invested" to get us up the league. It's just been given to us to fuel an old man's dream. Now we're here, and the old man is gone, we're taking loans out. Wonga Cortese is just playing with a trainset. Nothing he has done has actually made us into a business in any danger of breaking even.
